Still 40 degrees forecast.

The poor girls will be playing before hand too ... probably in the hotter part of the day too.

Maybe Qatar can send us some of their air conditioned stadiums after the world cup??

Due to being too old, being too slow, having no creativity, having players that lack the skill at this level, and never wanting to play a striker, we look like finishing a long, long last.
Just does not seem to get through that goals win matches. 7 scored in 8 games, and 3 of those in one game. At least play the young strikers from the start and give them half a chance. Do not keep subbing them on late hoping they will ressurect the first 70 or 80 minutes of tripe. But Thwaites still thinks it great they are all sitting on the bench. Way to go.
And when we are behind and pushing to try and level, did we need to make a sub in injury time? Perhaps it was an injury.

Yeah was a pretty terrible match to watch ... I let the kids go for it on the Xbox before the full-time whistle, I had had enough of watching them.

I've been watching the Mariners (my dad's team) and although they are frustrating to watch at least you can see that they have room to grow, and are trying to play an entertaining style. They just need to improve their discipline and have some leadership in the back line. I just don't see the same 'potential' with the Glory at the moment ... I hope Lowe and Co prove me wrong.

To be fair, Glory have some periods of good passing and possession and some decent chances up front.

That arsetastic defending in the first 2 minutes meant that Adelaide didn't have to really push.

However, this was the bottom two teams and probably made the game more even than it should have been.

Interesting to see how Glory go against their bogey team, CCM, next weekend.

If they play like they did yesterday (with the exception of that left side magical defending) they may do OK.

Risdon should be back and should add more impetus down the right.

Hopefully Grant is back too meaning no Warren or Golec.

Hopefully both Warren and Golec get kicked.

Wouldn't be doing a very good job if you did see them I suppose. I'd imagine they'd be involved with the Shed, and others in and around the ground. Considering the lack of issues Glory have had over 20 years we probably aren't a high priority.

How many on that banned list were from the Glory fanbase?

I browsed it before it went behind the pay wall. From memory, was about half a dozen and no more than 10.

So about 0.1 to 0.2% of an average Glory crowd.

According to the CEO it is 21. I wonder how many of those that you missed are new bannings in the offseason. Perth Terrace was basically gutted in terms of leadership over the off-season.

Yeah - don't know. Only working from memory so it could have been 21 but honestly didn't think it was that many.

Lowe: Glory copped what they deserved – nothing

Perth Glory coach Kenny Lowe said his side got what it deserved - zero - out of Sunday's 1-0 loss to bottom-placed Adelaide United at Coopers Stadium.

Gallant to the end but shy of star forward quality, Glory were never able to recover from their brief moment of neglect in the opening two minutes when Pablo Sanchez got free and scored.

Match report: Reds first win sends Glory bottom

As a result, Perth displaced the Reds at the foot of the ladder and Lowe believes his charges have only themselves to blame.

"You can't have that poor quality for the first goal and the poor quality of not finishing the opportunities we had," he said.

"We don't deserve anything out of it because we haven't actually done the things we needed to do - that's about as honest as I can get.

"Don't get me wrong, there was a performance in there, but at the critical moments in the game we just didn't come to the party.

"Unfortunately at the present second, that little lack of quality just lets us down."

Despite a stiff, tricky southerly breeze wreaking havoc at times and the blazing Adelaide sun beating down throughout, Lowe felt the match was a decent quality spectacle.

"It was alright out there – it was exciting," he said.

"Both keepers (Ante Covic and Eugene Galekovic) made great saves and there were a lot of chances.

"Carrusca was nice to watch - for a change.

"It was good. Unfortunately I was sat on our bench instead of theirs."

Heat-weary and already ravaged by injuries, Glory have an arduous schedule coming up with three pre-Christmas home bouts in the space of seven days against Central Coast Mariners (this Saturday), Melbourne Victory (Wednesday, December 16) and the Western Sydney Wanderers (Saturday, December 19).

Lowe isn't about to concede just yet, emphasising the fact Perth have only lost one match by more than a goal this season.

"We've been in every game this year, (within) one goal, apart from Melbourne City (5-1 loss), where it could have been 9-9.

"We'll just get on with it ... otherwise you'll throw yourself off the top of a big building."

When asked about Adelaide's Red Army fan walkout on the half-hour mark, as a protest against perceived mistreatment from the FFA towards active supporters, Lowe put the onus back on the fans.

"My take is if the fans come to the game, they've got to be responsible and do the right thing," he said.

"Then the FFA make sure if they (spectators) do anything, we've got due process.

"Very easy - it's not hard, I don't think. But maybe I'm a bit stupid, a daft lad from Billingham in the north-east of England where we tend speak as you should speak."

When would you like it to kick off, considering the 3 hour time difference to the eastern states?

Would have been probably the only game where we had a chance of getting over 10k if it had been played on a weekend.

Will be lucky to get over 6-7k on a week night when we are playing such shit football.

Screw the eastern states, I would like a time that is possible for me to make the game.
At this rate I would be lucky to be there by half time.

Expect some gnashing of teeth at Glory HQ.

Is there a supporter group boycot for this game too? If so, might struggle to get 5-6K.

That's scary territory.

Glory miss out on the FFA Cup final at home, then get a rescheduled game mid-week at 6pm at a time supporter groups are boycotting games.

Perth Terrace has been boycotting all season and I doubt if the Shed will be much affected.

The attendance will be low because a lot of average football supporters aren't likely to come along to watch a poor quality football team, play a shit brand of football and get beaten.

A lot of people have better things to do

So.... the Wednesday catch-up match against Victory on the 16th is scheduled for a 6pm kickoff?

When would you like it to kick off, considering the 3 hour time difference to the eastern states?

Screw the eastern states, I would like a time that is possible for me to make the game.
At this rate I would be lucky to be there by half time.

^^This^^

I'll go on record and predict a crowd of around 3.5k for this match, as a combination of general Perth Glory craptacularness plus a 6pm kick off.

Sidnei out for the weekend and maybe longer after injury at training.

If it is longer, may be an opportunity to bring in Keogh as an injury replacement. He is in town and was playing 5 a side at Area5 the other night.

Bummer, who plays upfront now? Garcia back to central and a young player like Reiners or Knowles out wide? :-k

And gee what is the story with that?! Glory were denied Keogh recent times, via the Guest route? :-k

But via the IRP route as you say, they couldn't possibly deny? :?

TBH I actually think your idea is the best.

lob Garcia up front central and get some speed on the flanks.
