I think the run home is pretty good. No reason you guys can't grab 6th. No reason at all, considering the ghetto beat down these other guys getting flying all over Asia.

That's 14 (now 21) more points for 33 (now 40) come end of the regular season.

I think with two home games in a row against our bunnies and CCM, that should see us get into the top 6 come two weeks.

[-o< Glory to beat out current a-league record of 5 straight wins with 6 wins to round off the season [-o<

lol premiership still mathematically possible. Holding onto my hope.

I fkn hope so.
$10 @ $151 would setup my grand final weekend perfectly lol.

I'm getting really excited for next year right now.
Our squad with the bonus of Taggart and any potential off season signings is sounding pretty juicy after several alcoholic beverages lol.

lol i put 100 dollars on the premiership (and i think with an extra 100 dollar bonus bet on it to make 200)...put it down as wastage straight away but the potential gain was too tempting at 171 odds. That loss to WSW really dented my potential pay off as well. Ohhh well.

Taggart coming into the team and getting rid of some of the dead weight will be good. Then...who do we want? Clut, Galloway and Williams are the three I'd like to see. Asian marquee maybe...probably need to move Keogh to marquee though to make sure we're not over the cap.

Need to pump CCM and get to the magic 34.

City, Victory and Sydney all have tricky games against top 6 teams.

City have AU x 2, Roar and Glory
Victory have Roar x 2, WSW
Sydney Roar, AU and Glory

Looking forward I can see the end table similar to this:

4 City 42 +17
5 Victory 41 +9
6 Glory 40 +6
7 Sydney 38 +3

Most likely looks like playing the Roar away. Yay.

If they can get a win over City at home they will be playing them in Melbourne finishing above Victory. Although a Melbourne Derby in the finals would be sweet.

If Glory win all their last 5 games, they should go close, but would probably be a point or 2 short.

I'm thinking top will be about 50 to 52, most likely United.

2nd might be a goer, say 46ish.

I dont think the Glory played particuarly well against 10 men. Actually I remember a game not so long ago when the opposition got reduced to 10 men and we played worse vs them. Its a little strange.

Good to see the Crowds starting to swell up again.

It will happen.

If you are winning and then playing against 10 men as a player you may start to switch off and take things easy as your side has a double advantage.

Conversely, the opposition know they have to lift and will start to become more desperate and play that bit harder.

So if the 1 v 1 or 3 v 3 situations, the team with 10 men may appear better.

Adelaide to win 1, draw 3 and lose 1 in the next 5 rounds to take you to 45. Perth to win next 6 games to take us to 46. Deal with it.

I optimistically get us to 18. With us only needing a draw away to Sydney in the last round.

How well Krisztian Vadocz settles is pretty critical. Getting Dino back for the last couple of rounds could also be very important.

If Castro gets injured - we are fucked ie ignore everything above.

I pretty much stand by my predictions above - and would have been doing ok if I had bet on them.
Reckon we could be good for at least a point against City at home as my only change.

Bugger.

Will he play the weekend before the Tajikstan game? My guess is no as they will be in camp.

He will then miss the Wellington and Jets games and maybe City game if he plays.

On the up side City will be in the same position with Mooy, which is a bigger loss.

The Wellington and Jets games just got a bit closer but should be at least 4 points.

Shhhhhh.

Little secret, I actually went to my first Glory game in about 2-3 seasons on the weekend. 8-[

What I noticed that I had not on the small screen:

Castro holds the ball too long. I counted about half a dozen times he was too interested in doing his holding the ball fancy stuff and then fall over at the slightest knock trick when a Glory player was released down the flank as Castro had 2/3 players drawn to him. That is concerning. Hope this was a once off this game and not something I had failed to see on a wider view.

Vadocz appears to be a key player. He continuously broke up Jets attacks either deep in defence or in the centre of the park and he was quick to turn that possession into attacking intent. He only fouled once, was not dispossessed and his passing accuracy was high.

Risdon has a fucking immense engine. He was tearing strips of his marker even 90 minutes into the game and burning him off.

Good to see Dino back in action getting 45 minutes. He did look a bit proppy, but I think that's just his style of getting around the pitch.

In regards to Castro holding the ball too long it was worse against NJ. But even then it's hard to fault him since a lot of the time he pulled ething off. But yes was annoying.

I thought Vadosc first half was bad...second half he was immense. And yes Risdon was everywhere. Was immense and once again losing him to Socceroos duty will be tough.

Castro was hanging on to the ball longer than normal in the second half but that was because we were 2-0 up and our plan seemed to be re-cycle the ball until we could get it to Castro and then let him decide what we were going to do next. I don't think he was diving on the weekend, although he has been guilty of it in the past. That useless hack Hoffman should have got a second yellow late in the game when he got sick of watching a real footballer and just bundled Castro over a couple of times.

Vadocz is Rostyn Griffiths mkII - without the fouls.

Risdon getting called up to the Socceroos was the best thing for him as it became pretty obvious that he was off the pace fitness wise and with the club now sharing data as well as the data gathered in camp, he has had to lift and maintain his fitness.

Our first XI is excellent - but we still lack depth which is going to be tested with Marinkovic doubtful and Risdon out with Socceroos for a while in coming weeks.
