Yeah good to see our roos play a fair bit. Sterj played all. Burns came on later. he was in right back which was interesting. but great stuff all round.

does anyone know where glory will be having their training sessions in adelaide for the round 1 fixture?
would be good for the glory fans making the trip going over, to watch the boys train etc.
I emailed the club, highly doubt they will reply though ...

Ivan Ergic has just become available - he was recently released by his club! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivan_ErgicHe could play AM for us, just behind Sterj and Dadi/Jelic! :o Our Midfield would be officially stacked - best in the A-League! We'd just need Chris Coyne/Adrian Madaschi and VISA/AFC LB/LWB then. 8)

Sign him on massive guest player wages then sign him up?
I guess that'd be rorting the cap?

Err, he also suffered from depression a few years ago and is of the opinion that footballers earn too much money. He'd also be coming home in a sense, not sure if his family still live here. So perhaps he'd be cheaper than we think?
Still, we're desperately short of another quality CB. Maybe Todd Howarth at LB to compete with Naum.
As for salary cap rorts - Sydney FC kept their title, were only deducted a handful of points the next season and the fine wasn't that big.

its amazing what sort of team you can build with the cap & marquee contracts.you have to wonder where japanese clubs money is going when you hear they have pay rolls 20 million plus. as good as it would be too have him (and i rumored him sometime ago) i think we should really start focusing on getting one more experienced defender.

it all depends on how much money we have left under the cap .....
whatever we have left ... offer C.Coyne and Ergic half each lol :p
even though we have 3 spots left ... getting those 2 .. i will be more than happy with those 2 completing our squad

I was playing five a side with some friends at an oval near my place when we accidentally kicked a ball into a tall black guy with dreadlocks who was arriving with his little boy.
After he kicked it back I jokingly said to my friend that he looked like Eugene Dadi. He agreed and we continued to play. Eventually I said "I'm not sure it isn't actually him...". Considering for a while how we could figure out if it was, I ended up just walking up and asking him.
So it turns out Eugene Dadi lives really close to me. He was totally friendly and we ended up swapping balls for a while so his son could kick my size 3.
Unfortunately I didn't think to ask him to fill in for my futsal team this week :(
