My gf broke up with me recently, so feeling sorta down and hence reduced appetite. Idk if you want to lose weight, start drinking lots of coffee. It represses my desire to eat for a few hours and its only 200 calories or so a cup. But as Aufc said work out your required intake and eat less than that. Edited by 433: 23/5/2016 09:55:59 PM Sorry to hear m80 Just used an online calorie intake calculator and to lose a kilo a week (exercising 1-3 times a week), my required calorie intake is 2070. My partner is a dietitian so if you have any general questions feel free to PM me. I've started using a fitbit and doing all that counting too. I'm not heaps overweight but I'm definitely not skinny either and I don't play sport anymore. I find it heaps motivational and interesting knowing where all th ecalories come from etc and it becomes a challenge/game. I decided to up my daily goal from 1,700 to 1,850 coz i found with exercising now 3-4 night a week I was just too hungry some days for 1,700 ha ha For weight loss you should be aiming to at least have a +calories burned vs taken in of 500 a day. If you stick to that you will lose about half a kilo a week. With half an hour jogging that's easily achievable even if you do nothing all day but go to school etc. Quite often I'm more than 1,000 over but then I have days when I do nothing and eat chips aha I have started (with help from partner) taking my lunches to work every day with healthy snacks etc through the whole day and eating yoghurt and muesli for breakfast and it means come lunch time I'm not sick with hunger and desperate for a massive meal etc It has made a HUGE difference but I admit without her help I would just go back to getting to work, having coffee for breakfast, biscuits for morning tea, feeling sick by lunch time and getting a huge focaccia, getting sleepy by 2pm, having more coffee and feeling shit and bloated all afternoon. It's not easy to change your lifestyle but if you break it up into small pieces and deal with them making small achievable goals you will find things start falling into place soon enough. Just try not to look for results (with weight or mental issues too) within a week and getting deflated when you see none. If you stick to something, try to take interest and joy from the journey, you will just realise one day "hey, it's actually making a difference". Starting and getting past the first hurdles are the hardest parts of anything you will ever do. It has taken me till my 30s to figure that out or at least to start putting it into practice. I probably thought I knew it when I was younger too.

WGMG: Nearly got hit by a soccer mum in a Range Rover. Pretty sure you're meant to indicate before you go into a roundabout, not when you've already entered the roundabout and are about to turn left.

Well I certainly hope your partner is more committed to his/her convictions than you are.
You have a great evening also!

You have a great evening also! Nice try I made a simple offer to a kid that struggles with his weight and wants to do something about it to put him in touch with somebody who can help and is knowledgeable and would likely chat and give advice for free coz she cares about people and is an amazing intelligent and caring person who is fantastic at what she does. I never claimed to be that person and you shouldn't claim for a second that you were being genuine with your question. Adios muchacho Edited by davide82: 24/5/2016 06:14:21 PM

$125 fee 🙃 Therapist? I have known people try therapy, also anti-depressants - so I am well informed. You just need to adjust your attitude. Happiness depends on a person's distance from Adelaide.

$125 fee 🙃 A bottle of Jack Daniels costs less. Jack, is also a friend. Talking to Jack after consuming Mr. Daniels can help sometimes.

$125 fee 🙃 Jesus Christ you don't help yourself. How could you miss something so important? If i cost my parents $125 and it was entirely avoidable i would've got the buckle end of the belt! Would you get punished for that?

Is there actually a way to break the cycle of not being able to get a job due to a lack of work experience and vice versa? Edited by salmonfc: 27/5/2016 01:29:09 PM

Edited by salmonfc: 27/5/2016 01:29:09 PM Years ago, I was able to get 2 different jobs by lying (i added a bogus previous job on my cv). Depending on the job, and whether you really do need experience this can be an option. The better option though is probably to volunteer / ask to do work experience in a similar role. Less training? Pretty much, people underestimate how much it costs to bring a graduate on. That's not to say that these jobs don't exist and that companies don't do them. At least in my field, we find it hard to hire grads anyway so it becomes a bit of a disincentive to keep looking around for them.
