WGMG: Pregnant ladies that insist on having a natural birth despite their and their babies life being in danger. Shouldn't the most important thing be making sure you and your baby are healthy? My mum had a cesarean on me and my twin as well as my older sister and we all turned out spit spot :P

I don't get why they want a "natural" birth when they can just have the Epidural (a giant needle into the spine) which acts as a local anaesthetic and the baby doesn't get brought into the world drugged up?

There are benefits to natural birth, as oposed to an cesarean, though admittedly not pain wise lol
They pick up some of their mum's antigens I think, when coming out, making them immune to some diseases. Though it is also possible that the mum can become "immune" to the baby's blood type which means the travel out will cause anyother baby of the same blood type to be attacked by the mother's body
Epidural also slows down labour, causes milk to come later and for less duration (though it does sound worth it)

Everybody gets epidural nowadays. My mate had an epidural when he had a knee reco. They are really safe.

yes they ar esafe but for pregancies they are dangerous. hell the mother moves during biorth so if the doctor misses the mother is paralyzed . and also the mother cant tell when the baby is out due to the fact she is numb
