Stop being a fare-evading, law-breaking citizen, buy a fucking ticket, and you won't need to worry. If you were a teenager now, tell me you wouldn't buy a ticket. Yeah I know its illegal and crap, resulting in millions being lost by CityRail, but what teenager doesn't break the law ;) I am a teenager. I'm 19. And I can truthfully, and honestly say, I have never boarded a train without a ticket in my life. I'm not a cunt. Its an inconvience  I know everyone reckons I'm a c*nt for doing so. If I had a suffcient amount of money, sure. But I live in $10 a week. Train to and from at least twice kills me if I pay. $1.60x4= $6.40, leaving me with $3.40. No excuse, I know, but at least I've got a (semi kinda) reason instead of being a dumb lad, jumping to be a hard c*n.t If there's cops, sure I'll pay. Get yourself a job. If you can't get one just ask your mum/dad if you can borrow a few bucks for the train ride.

I've never not payed for a ticket in my life, or not swiped my smartrider off at the right stop. I don't see the point in not doing it, especially on a smartrider. There designed to pay for your fare, i hate people who just swipe off at two stops before they have to get off. WGMG: Last day of the holidays

WGMG: Apparently it now costs $110 to get your L plates, as opposed to the $90 i was told initially.

I don't pay to get the train if I don't have to. If the ticket guard misses me, then I'm perfectly happy to take a free ride. It's only a couple of dollars anyway.

If I don't think I'm at risk of being caught (weekends, public holidays, short trips, late night) then I won't bother. Exactly. It would be stupid to fare evade on a trip from Bondi to Hurstville in peak hour. I'd get caught by Transits at Central, Town Hall or Redfern. My trip is always nearly Hurstville - Kogarah or vice versa. Thats the next stop after each other (there's two inbetween if you catch an all stops) and its usually at between 4-5, so there isn't really any chance. However, there are usually Police at either station, and if so, I buy a ticket.

I don't even live on Sydney but I've just jumped on without a ticket.. Never seen a guard or anything while I was on the trains ever.

They're introducing a swipe on, swipe off card. Swipe on, travel your trip, swipe off, and it calculates your price. If you don't swipe off, or swipe off without swiping on, your price will sky rocket. An instant fine kind of thing. Edited by keepersball: 25/7/2011 11:31:13 AM I thought that they gave up on that years ago. They started putting all the scanning equipment on stations about 5-6 years ago when I was still at school. They still have all those weird looking yellow things on all the stations. They were stupid the way they were going to set it up. At Heathcote they were set up charge you for walking across the footbridge from East to West Heathcote. At Waterfall they had to be replaced every couple of weeks because people would smash them to bits.

Not too sure exaclty, but I think their introductio n will be in 2012. It was an article in the Sun Herald yesterday anyway. Waterfall and Engadine? Must be good ol' blue line  ;)

WGMG: Not sure if we are unlucky with the rained out rounds or not but we have been scheduled for ground control this weekend. 4th time in 6 home games. There should be around 11-12 teams that share around the 3-4 ground control shifts when we play at home, which means we will have done double what we should have.

When I was there we had it every week. I hate it when it is only me and 2-3 other people doing the ground control because people can't be bothered to turn up.

As manager it is hard when people are so lazy, makes it unfair on the people who do it all the time and others do nuffin. We had 3 people to set up a couple of weeks ago.
