WGMG: The message on the association site that says games were still on today. I struggle to think of a reason why they would close the fields for the tiny bit of rain overnight. The grounds (that I have played on and seen recently) are so bad that playing when they're muddy from the rain is not any more dangerous than when they are dry. Playing on them can't make them any worse.

Sounds like a standard grass-roots game, kiwichick :lol: Kids games are the hardest to referee.

WGMG: blind refs at basketball who missed some fouls which could have won us the match. Granted, they deserved to win, but so many fouls were missed by the refs.

And the parent from our team who reffed is a really easy going guy and so he didn't want to be involved in any trouble. And as for their coach who reffed, he was happy to get right in the thick of it and get stuck in, see above for further details.

It's 10th grade, their coach reffed half, one of the fathers from our team reffed the other half.

WGMGSFMTIFTNTSAYATTOMLAPSRRRH: Fucking opposition parents in the game that the team I coached played today!!! They were yelling and swearing at our players parents, trying to tell them what to do and where they can and can't stand. When the ball went out of play over the goal line, we got a different kid who wasn't the goalie to kick it, and then they start yelling at us and the ref that you can't do that and that the goalie has to be the one to take the kick. So my dad goes over to them since he was on that side of the field and tells them that's there's no rule about it, and then they start yelling at him and telling him to calm down, and let the kids play, because the game's about the kids and everything. And then they tell him to get off their side of the field! It was a game played at a neutral field, they don't fucking own a side of it. Not to mention that their players were the fucking dirtiest thugs we'd played against so far, it's pretty clear to see where they get the swearing and putting down our players from.
And then when me and the girl that I coach with went over after the game to talk to the coach and tell him that we were going to have to report that happenings of the game to Capital Football, he was such a patronising prick to us! He was surprised when we said we'd had problems with the game and that it would need to be reported, and he was just so fucking blind to the fact that the parents of their team hadn't behaved in an acceptable way. He completely talked down to us and tried to convince us that there was nothing wrong and no need to do anything about it because "the game's about the kids". Well if it's about the fucking kids then why the fuck do you and your other parents have to get involved with things that DON'T MATTER AT ALL! And some stupid bitch who had told our parents to clear away from the goal acted like she was so fucking innocent and that they were the ones who had been swearing at her. If that was the case you fucking bitch then why the hell did you repeatedly go over to them when it was clear that nothing was being gained?! All they were doing was fucking inflamming the whole fucking situation, and why the fuck does it matter anyway if a couple of parents want to stand near to where their kid is?? And then she had the fucking nerve to say that it was a case of the pot calling the kettle black. Bitch, I wasn't involved in the situation, you were, don't use your fucking stupid cliches on me or I swear to god I'll smash you in that fucking smug face.

I hope we get to play them again later in the season, and I hope we win so I get to rub those fucking parents and coaches in the mud.
