Heineken wrote:I swear it's got something to do with me working late nights. I never used to get sick as many times as I have over the last 9 months or so. Working nights can make you sicker if you're not used to it. I used to get sick a lot when I was at Crown. Since I left I've only been sick once. It's probably down to handling the glasses and personal contact with people. Carry one of those Detol hand sanitizer things in your pocket.

WGMG: For some reason I decided yesterday that I was up to a kilometre ocean swim when I haven't swum properly for years. I could hardly move this morning. WGMG: The amount of people who can't swim that don't know how to determine where a rip is on an unpatrolled beach. WGMG: The beach where I was staying was shit for the whole two weeks.

WGMG: I've been feeling fine all day, until now. Suddenly I've got that feeling in my throat that I'm about to vomit.

WGMG: My family's habit of misplacing my things (eg. ipod, sunglasses and so forth).
WAGMG: Annoying people on facebook. #-o
WGMGEM: Went to the doctor, then got an x-ray and got the report saying I'm fine. Um, no I'm not. Why do I get extreme pain when I run?

WGMG: Housemate is out tonight. Didn't bother telling me. I could have had someone over. Quote:WGMGEM: Went to the doctor, then got an x-ray and got the report saying I'm fine. Um, no I'm not. Why do I get extreme pain when I run? Lots of things don't show up on x-rays. That really fucked about my shoulder. Soft tissue damage won't show up.

WGMG: Final game of the backyard league is tomorrow, and I'm nervous. We're comfortable on top at the moment on 10 points, but the team we play tomorrow is on 7 points, and another team is on 8 points. So basically we have to win to make sure that we get the drinks-shout and the $400 prize money ($20 entrance fee from all 4 teams of 5).
I just don't want to pay for my girlfriend's brother's drinks and have to put up with the gloating.

I went back to the doctor and got some anti-inflammatories and a referral to a specialist. The Jets/Knights doctor, no less.

Strangely, when I run a few kms non-stop, it hurts like crazy. First 1km, it's all good. After that, not so good. But If I'm taking shots at goal/goalkeeping/playing in general with a chance to have a breather every now and then, then I'm ok. :? Heineken. If it doesn't work out, I'll just get the PFA on my side to have a showdown with the FFA.

IT could just be that the muscle isn't fully recuperated and you'll have to start building up fitness in it again.
WGMG: All the SOPA Fear mongering. It's bad enough that the act passed, but all the crap that goes with it is getting ridiculous.

WGMG: My body clock has once again been thrown out of axis. Over new year i was falling asleep round 10 and up round 7ish. Since i worked a few nightfill shifts, im falling asleep round 3 and waking up at 11ish. So frustrating. Might go the sleeping pill route in the next couple of nights.

WGMG: I needed Wikipedia during the blackout on several occasions. When it comes back I forget what I needed. Ended up wikipeding sexual posistions because I got bored of flailing my hands around trying to think of what I needed to find out.

Try things like Valerian and the more 'natural' sleeping pills. They're very easy to become dependent on. Quote:Apparently it was still working on phones and handheld devices. I found this to be quite amusing. Their mobile domain was running as usual. WGMG: Can't sleep, splitting headache, sober as a judge. Have to work tonight.

WGMG - Every batsman that comes to the crease marking out middle, or off or leg. Surely the openers have done it hence it is not going to move. better still, why not have the line of each stump marked on the crease in say red, so when the batsman looks down he knows where everything is. Thoughts??

Thoughts?? Speaking from experience, Cricketers are a superstitious bunch. Personally, Marking out where you want to bat calms me a bit, and gives you that mental thing of 'knowing' exactly where the stumps are. Like a Goalie touching each post before KO. It was a habit, and even if the mark is there, you do it, coz it feels right. I would tap my bat on 3 occasions when the bowler was running in, each time twice. Once as he turned, once as he started running, and once just as he reached the pitch, as a 'Come at me' sorta thing. It's stupid, and it may never have actually effected my batting, but I always did it. Marking the stumps can be the same sort of thing. My 2 Cents anyway.
