WGMG: Went out Saturday, don't remember anything. Lost my phone and wallet, bank account was cleaned out yesterday so I must have told my assaillant's the pin in my drunken stupor. Big gaps in stories I've been told by my mate, apparently he put me in a taxi at like 12, but I was found by a cop at 1:30 and then didn't arrive home til 4:30.
Also had to put my car in for a week to get fixed (completely unrelated incident) so I'm without a phone, bank card, license or car for the near future

WGMG: Most recent ex saying she regrets breaking up with me. Seriously, you do this now?! My heads already not in the right place to have even more to think of.
WAGMG: My brother and his fiance arrived from Japan, first thing he wanted to do was go into my Dad's house and see where he died. Seeing grown men in tears never gets easy to take.

Reminds me of the 2010-2011 NYE down at East Balmain. Watched this French tourist declare war on a 1L bottle of Jim Beam by chugging half of it, filling the rest up with coke, then chugging the entire bottle again.. He stood up, promptly jolted, like he had been electrocuted, said something about 'Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi', repeated it in French, than passed out and snored right through the midnight fireworks. I don't think he remembered much from that night, either.

I know better than to take medical advice over internet forums, but should I be worried Afro? I did throw up a lot, and at the end it was just water + bile. Do I just need to restore electrolytes and berocca?

Any instance where a life is lost is horrible, what's "worse" is a personal thing. It doesn't give you any right to complain about those who are mourning.

WGMG: People's reaction to the whole Boston thing.
Yes, 50 people may have been killed in Iraq two days ago, and 30 people were killed by a missile in afghanistan, but don't pretend like you gave a fuck before the news of Boston broke. Don't pretend like it's anything less than the pan-global anti-american sentiment that you've been sucked into.

Australian media reporting on a disaster at a major event in western countries where Australian people are because we're a western nation. Who'd've thunk it? It's quaint to see people going "BUT WHAT ABOUT THE BOMBINGS IN IRAQ?! I CARE ABOUT THOSE PEOPLE TOO!!!" Well buddy, there have been 68 fatal bombings in Iraq this year but this is the first you've mentioned of it. You want to hear more about it then read Reuters or BBC and stop complaining about the information you're selectively fed by Fox News. Cut the crap, stop trying to be "worldly" and admit you're just a douche? I'd feel for these people, really I would. But I simply can't relate to them and frankly that means I don't care.

I don't expect you to care about them, nor do I expect anyone else to. That would be extremely hypocritical of me, because I don't either. But likewise, I don't particularly feel any emotion towards what's happened in Boston.
My concern is that the way these incidents are reported/the depth of reporting that they're given, is skewed far too much.

The thing is that whilst i agree with you, there is a feeling of double standard. Most of the attacks, if not all, on Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan etc etc are US led attacks. They also fail to help solve issues in countries such as Syria, Burma etc etc. Those who try to campaign and bring to light these attacks are often not listened to. When an attack happens in the US, then the whole world must stop and start acting on it apparently. Whilst it is a tragedy and i do sympathise and pray for those in Boston, the media attention given to this incident is perfect for those on the other end of things trying to get any little media attention they can. Whilst everyone seems to be concerned with bombings and stopping them, this is a perfect opportunity to try and get the world to notice what is going on elsewhere and bring their attention to it. 2 people dying and 130 injured is not good news. Its not at all. Things like this should never happen especially at events that have no relation to deep lying political, cultural and religious agendas. But on the other end of things... 20 pople dying almost daily through bombings, drone attacks and other forms of destruction, and often US led, is just as bad and the world should be doing something about it.
