This is the first time I've had a seating plan since Year 10 of high school. It's a tutorial, so it's different to lecture, but it's still annoying, considering that for two of them that was the only class that worked for all of us.

Yeah, i guess. I have two mature age students, a girl who seemed very distant, a guy who was answering every question the teacher asked and the girl next to me, who seemed nice.

My password expired last night... So i changed it, and now i'm at uni trying to log into my uni account and it's saying my password is incorrect! Eventually i change computers and it allows me to log in using the password from '3 passwords ago' for some stupid reason. Then i try to log onto my intranet account and it won't let any of my passwords work, and now my account is locked for half an hour due to repeated failed log ins.

Fuck off.

You need to ring or go into your IT centre and they'll reset your account for you. What's really annoying is when you've had the best part of 3 months off over summer, and you haven't bothered going onto the Uni website, and it's expired over your holidays. :lol:

WGMGSFM: getting zero in a quiz, because maths is another language to me. I swear I did some of this stuff in year 9 or 10, but I just have no clue what it all means. Like... Equations with symbols I've never seen before and shiz :(
There is no way I'm ever going to pass this subject, but I can't finish my course without it.
All these equations, algebra and formulas and shit just look like a different language to me.

Maybe, I should really go talk to my course advisor. I've also got a horrible feeling that I'm doing a subject that might not count because i failed a subject that was possibly a prerequisite for it :cry:

100% go and talk to your course advisor. I failed an electronics unit in my first year that was a fundamental requirement of my degree when I started (I somehow forgot to turn in my lab book, and in the unit regulations not turning in your lab book meant they would not mark your final assignment or exam. I should have appealed, but I was young and naive) and talked to my course co-ordinator towards the end of my degree. Turned out that unit was no longer offered or considered a pre-requisite and he was able to tailor a solution for me taking a full-credit elective relevant to my degree. So instead of skiving off to do an irrelevant unit like the rest of the comp-sci engineers did I took software security and still got my degree (with honours!) as a result. The biggest mistake uni students make is not talking to their academic staff when they are struggling, yet no-one seems to realise until it is too late.

I also recommend trying to get in the ear of your lecturer/tutor. They will help you, they won't go out of their way to do so but they will help you if you ask.
