I absolutely admit to being a bandwagoner with Chelsea. I have never been to England, never met anyone from London, never met or seen a Chelsea player in the flesh and don't watch any games that are past midnight (apart from the big ones). I support Chelsea because my Dad does, and he supports them because they're not Manure. Honestly I'm not going to support or give two fucks about teams like Bolton or Bradford just so I can have a wank about how I pure a football fan I am, that's all pretentious garbage (unless you have a definite connection). I like watching good players playing good football winning football matches, the sooner euro-football oriented people accept this the better. (Not implying anyone here) The Jerks is a different story however, it's like a tar pit supporting those bastards

You can support any team in any sport in the world you want. If you do not want to support the local version of said sport. Thats fine too.
BUT.... If you support overseas teams, and also actively seek arguments to shit on the local version than you are a snob.

Just kidding

WGMG: yesterday I went to the vet and had our 16year old family Chihuahua put down. I've never personally seen something or someone so close to me pass away before, so it was definately an experience. A pretty emotional time for the whole family, particularly my Mum who loved that thing nearly as much as any of her children or grandchildren. I will say though - I didn't really have expectations on how the reactions etc would be like for a lethal injection, but it did seem about as peaceful as I can imagine ending the life of something could be. It was like she didn't even notice what was happening, and just kind of fell asleep. She was more worked up about how the vet nurse was holding her neck still than anything. Though, originally Mum wanted to go to the vets with me to see it happen but judging the state of her when I picked up the dog, I told her not to as she was a wreck. I'm glad she wasn't there for it, regardless of how peaceful it was.

Ahhh that sucks man :( When our dog was put down in 2009 we all went to the vet except my brother, who didn't want to go. Then Dad went into the actual room with our dog when the injection happened, but I went in after to see him and he just looked so peaceful. A few years down the track you look back on having a dog with awesome memories, as well as the joy of not getting crap between our toes everytime you walk into the backyard

A few years down the track you look back on having a dog with awesome memories, as well as the joy of not getting crap between our toes everytime you walk into the backyard  Yeah, our dog over the last year has slowly but surely been going blind and deaf, so she genuinely believed over the last few months that she was going to the toilet outside or on a pee mat or something, when realistically she was going in the middle of the hallway  She had these lumpy growths on her side that have been growing over the last 6 months or so, and the vet said they were all fine, but over the last month they grew considerably and her belly swelled up a heap, and the vet confirmed she was internally bleeding, more than likely had developed a form of cancer (prob liver) and she was just in general starting to suffer. He said when I took her in that he would have been surprised if she saw out this week on her own, and it would have been a lot of suffering for her, so the decision to take her in was difficult but easy at the same time. Our family had a coffee together afterwards, and it was pretty emotional. It was nice to reflect on it though. It was pretty hilarious to look back at the reason we got her in the first place. I was in primary school and we had some people come in and explain to us stranger danger, what to do and where to hide if someone broke into your house, all that stuff, and that afternoon I saw on TV an ad for an electronic security system, so I was convinced we needed a security system at home and pestered the parents for a solid few weeks until they sold me on the idea of getting a dog for security. Apparently 8 year old me was sold on the idea of a chihuahua being enough security for our house

Wgmg?
The attitude of australians on rainy days
The concept that australia is the friendliest place (especially to strangers) goes out the window with a drop of rain
Australians lower themselves to the Europeans with regards to this, the euros just get on with it
The aussies whinge, or assume it will stop raining in 5 minutes. Or are not 'up for anything' when it rains

I was on a jack up barge in the middle of the Brisbane River trying to log the drilling of a borehole. I have every reason to whinge because Saturday was a horrendous day haha.

Its even worse in a place like Perth (WA, which stands for Whinge Awhile) They normally assume it will stop raining, when it does rain - in 5 minutes, unfortunately that attitude has been transported across to the Pacific side of Australia Australians should look at the way Europeans conduct themselves when it rains, they actually salivate it, rather than pretend like it never happens!](*,)
