Quote:who deserve our ultimate gratitude for solely making Australia the fine country it is today Are you stoned man?? what the hell. They have had nothing to do with making the country what it is today. They've had a contribution to football. But not the over-glorified crap that Fronty seems to think it is. Quote:Yes, croatians made this country. I challenge anybody to find something useful or integral to society that they have contributed.

Maybe vvinnies would be so desperate to get rid of him that theyd pay the Croatian community to take him back, and since theyve spent their money on tracksuits and hair products, theyd certainly take him back, even if it meant hiding him in the back rooms of some tax-evading butchery.

We Australians and Australian football owe the Oz-Croatian community absolutely nothing – in fact they owe us donkeys years of apologies. From the non-integrative, non-English speaking/written, video, magazine and newspaper trestles lining the entrance to Edensor Park. To the incredibly frightening violence of the Melbourne Knights’ supporters, attacking women, children and families on the southern hill of Energy Stadium, Newcastle when their team was playing against Newcastle about four years ago. I have never been so frightened in my life – let alone at a football match - and how that violence never got beyond our local papers is beyond me. Thank you Oz-Croats. And to as far back as 1976 when I was playing in the main game of a pre-season Ampol Cup double header at Lambert Park, Leichhardt. The early game was between who were then known as Yugal, and South Sydney Croatia. As I sat in the stands for part of this early game, with my Belgrade born Yugoslav girlfriend, she knew every word that was being yelled/spoken by supporters of both playing teams. She said to me that she had never, ever heard such foul and filthy language in her whole life, and that she would never come to a football match again. And she didn’t. Thank you Oz-Croats. Contrast this Aussie history of Oz-Croat football behavior with the exemplary friendliness of the Croatian supporters I experienced at Stuttgart last year – both before and after their loss. Frankly, I reckon it’d be a great idea if some of the so-called football supporting Oz-Croats be sent back from whence they came, to learn some clearly forgotten basic manners and humility. A this time sincere thank you to the true Croatian supporters back home. And again folks, us Aussies owing the Oz-Croat community anything…get a life…

Well said, and bonus points for personal anecdotes. It is a shame to see people put off football in such a fashion.
Welcome to the forums.

I don't know why you people take his bait all the time. He comes here, does a copy and paste and disappears whilst you all go on for 3 pages! If no one commented, it would be on the 2nd page by now, lost in the interwebs archives.

Your not a Catholic - Australian or a Muslim - Australian or a Croatian - Australian your an Australian if you live here and if you want to say your a Something - Australian then get out of the country. Keep your beliefs but first and foremost you are Australian if you live in this country.

Blah blah blah blah blah blah.....blah
Theres no actual intelligent discussion just a list of names of Croatian decent that once played in Australia.
This isn't going anywhere and really serves no purpose other than to spark a massive flame war.
