Not trying to be a dick, and I know it's a case of different strokes for different folks, but I can honestly say I've never even raised the slightest smile at any of Jack Black's "comedy".
What was the funny bit in this? Please tell me it wasn't him (almost) shouting "CLICK!" like a 5 year old every time he pressed the button on the controller, because that was annoying after the 3rd time.

I'm with you, Petzsk. I don't really find the guy funny either. Worst part is, his parents are both successful scientists. How disappointing would that be?

tbh i usually don't mind jack black - it's usually his insane randomness that gets me, plus i like how he's a no-restraints kinda guy. but that weather forecast clip i didn't find funny. i wonder (please if anyone has seen one, link it) how many comedians have legit read the weather & been funny though.

his parents may be disappointed he's not exactly contributing to society/the world, like a scientist would, but i'd imagine they'd still be pretty happy that their son is more well known & a lot richer than most other sons in the world i guess

I don't think Jack Black is best when improvising like that. He's at his best when he has a script to work with. School of Rock is a great example of this. He's brilliant in that film.
