I don't know much more than what i've seen in movies about them...and that Michael Jordan played for them once and failed miserably.

Jordan played with the White Sox - who also wear black pin stripes. He only ever played in the AA minor league (third tier). Although he failed, he didnt fail miserably. Considering he had been playing Baseketball professionally prior for some years, he did quite well.

College football is more where it's at in terms of collegs sports in america, coz that's the only way that the footballers can get any kind of qualification.

Because the NFL and NBA dont [really] have minor leagues. They rely heavily on college competitions. Since baseball DOES have minor leagues, a lot of talent is sucked out of the college system.
