Those were the day's, I remember our treehouse......full of stolen picture magazines and my mates coke-bottle bong that he used to smoke pine nettle. If only life was as simple as it was then.

I'm 24 and spent a week building a treehouse out of bamboo and ropes. No holes drilled, no nails, no damage to any treelife. 4 guys, 3 full days of work, 4.5m drop from the water-edge of the tree house, 1.5m at the land-end. We all built it for something to do while we were off work and because my mate wanted to give something cool to his gf for chrissie. Now he can tell her he built her a treehouse... with waterviews may i add... EPIC!

We arent telling anybody that we built it or where it is, we just "found it". That way there is no responsibility because it is on public land... wait maybe if i live there for ten years it will become my land?

Have you thought about the possibility of just calling "shotgun" on it?? I reckon this will stand up in court.

Ps. I am now a qualified project manager and civil engineer, my mate is a qualified architect, and the two other boys are qualified as an accountant and an environmental scientist... Surely this is a winning combination for a treehouse? Maybe we could drop the accountant for a landscape architect

Geez a project manager and an architect in one place, you sure it only took 3 days? The architect would've spent 3 days looking at the shadowing of the structure on the undergrowth below alone. :lol:

The architect was the one with the gf so he was happy to just have a finished treehouse to show her.
