Sat in Brisbane airport, flight has been delayed from 1:55am to 3:15am. Fuck.

24 hour tedious flight becomes a 26 hour tedious trip.

So the race riots in Logan (45 minutes from my house) are getting pretty bad.

What's happening?

on December 3rd there was a fight at a party and a lad was killed when he was run down in a hit and run as a result. Since then there have been large scale brawls on an almost daily basis and it's on the verge of breaking out into full-blown bedlam.

Crazy.

So basically it's the Redfern/Macquarie Field riots Brisbane style?

Yeah that party incident was between the African and Pacific Islanders. But last month an Aboriginal teenager was hit and killed by a train after a 'confrontation' with pacific islanders. But police cleared this incident. The Aboriginal community have now gotten involved.

These confrontations and fights are ridculous and they getting out of hand. Its in the are right near where i live so we often feel the fall on effects. The government has to do something to solve these issues because they have been simmering for a very long time.

I think the system is most at blame here though.
