Hell that's not funny we heard from our trainer that someone he worked for didn't do a contour map and just concreted . The whole Damn foundation had to he ripped up due to the fact half of the concrete was breaking up and was on a lean . :lol: the engineer who signed off on it got the arse

:lol: I'm a geotechnical engineer, we see that sort of thing all time time. I've seen them cut the top off concrete bridge piles because the surveyor got it wrong by 200mm.

When we installed the smoking area at work, measurements were taken from the floor where there was a 500kg pool table on top. It was moved for the smoking area to be built and the floor rebounded by about 5mm. Which is cool, except we were dealing with 2505mm panes of glass. It was ridiculously difficult to install.
