olympic under 16 is free

Under 16's are free at every game in the NSWPL so don't make it out as if it's some great thing because Olympic are doing it. They are doing it because they have to otherwise they would be charging for Under16's

Maybe Olympic fans pay less because the product is worth less than other clubs.

That win against Sutherland is nothing considering the players they lost over the off season.

a 2-0 away win against manly.
and we missed 2 penalties, so it could have been much better.
Ozbey at the double sinks Manly United
07.03.10 23:42

Will the glory days come back for Blacktown City FC? Shown here after the 2007 Grand Final victory is current coach Aytek Genc and skipper Luke Roodenburg who has been in great form for the club
Despite missing two penalties, Blacktown City FC showed they will be one of the leading teams in the NSW Premier League this season after overcoming Manly United FC 2-0 at Cromer Park on Sunday night.
Once again Tolgay Ozbey was the chief destroyer, scoring both goals to continue his amazing habit of finding the back of the net against the men from the northern beaches.

He displayed his intent after just 4’ minutes hitting the crossbar and caused the Manly defence constant headaches with his blinding pace.

A cagey first-half saw both teams have ample opportunities to score before Ozbey was brought down inside the area on the stroke of half-time by Pascal Julliard.

Ozbey dusted himself off but lost his nerve, blazing his spot kick well over the crossbar, which the crowd in the Lucas Neill stand thoroughly enjoyed.

They were cheering again after 63’ minutes when Blacktown missed a second chance from 12-yards, with Brad Swancott denying Jordan Simpson with a smart save to his right.

The away side finally troubled the scorers with just 12’ minutes remaining with that man Ozbey beating Swancott after beating the offside trap.

In injury time, the one time Sydney FC marksman bagged his second, after Julliard gave him too much room at the near post.

A relieved Aytek Genc was happy to walk away with the three points:

“It was a difficult game……they (Manly) had a few guys out so we caught them at a good time,’’ the Blacktown City FC coach said.

“We are lucky to have a match winner in Tolgay...we battled at times but other times we dominated.

“To get three points on the road is great…we also have a few guys to come back and can play much better, it is a good position to be in.’’

His opposite Phil Moss pointed to Luke Walker’s dismissal after 63’ minutes after he bundled over Ozbey in the box as the turning point:

“It doesn’t help playing with ten men for the last half an hour, and that is two weeks in a row we have done that,’’ he said.

“I will have to look at the challenge on the video but regardless it didn’t help our cause.

“Even though they missed two penalties I honestly think we were the better side.

“The score line flattered them, but that’s football.”

In the grade-20 clash Manly United FC won 2-1 thanks to goals from Robbie Cattanach and Adam Foti.
