@quichfc:
The back four has been more solid since Colosimo came back.
We are too static off the ball, hence the back pass: the player with the ball has no clear option because there is a lack of off the ball movement, so rather than risk a 50-50 pass, he back-passes to Bolton who bombs to Terra or Maycon, if his kick goes as intended.
We do need Fred back. Big Time. He can beat men in the middle and open up space with his passing.
-------------Bolton-----------
Marrone--Colosimo---Good--Behich
---Thompson/Kalmar----Germano--
-------Fred/Kalmar/Mate-------
Mate/Terra------------Worm---
-----------Maycon-------------
I'd actually like Maycon given a chance without Srhoj playing.
I've reverted to 2 DM's because when we play with two AM's the defense has looked fragile.
We've also missed Worm who is a class winger, as quick as Wiliams, but better technically, and a more accurate shot.
Injuries have really killed us so far: Worm Zahra Babalj, Fred, Taseski. The first four were starting players.

Agree with what stefcep said about the lack of movement, it's painful to watch. My ideal XI would be: Bolton
Marrone - - Colosimo - - Good - - Behich
Thompson - - Fred - - Germano
Dugandzic - - Terra - - Worm
Williams has struggled so far this season, and Worm & Behich linked well down the left last season. The only reason I'd start with Terra is to avoid the temptation to play hoofball to Maycon's head, and it would give us a front 3 who could rotate continually. Also when Zahra returns to fitness it could allow us to push Marrone into the midfield which would add a whole new dimension to our game. I'm still not sold on Hoffman as anything more than an average squad player, and Shroj should never be in another matchday squad if we are to try and play semi-decent football. Sorry but Curtis Good is absolutely shit house, needs to learn how to mark and tackle before he's in your first team. But I guess that's Heart for you!

Did you bother to watch him in the first few rounds? Looks a real gem. Heart have a lot of problems but Good is not amongst them. Quality young player.

You can't be fucking serious, the kid is 18 and has equipped himself quite well so far this season abeit 1 error against Newcastle. He is a beast in the tackle and doesn't shirk the rough stuff, and he is technically quite good also.

His passing ability and composure on the ball stand out for a central defender. Smeltz' second goal for Perth (even if originally Thompson's fault) suggests that his marking and timing of tackles has to improve but that will come with experience.

Anyone else think we may see a change to a 3-4-3 with the signing of Madaschi? Especially with Behich and Hamill off on Olyroo duty, and we did revert to 3 at the back in the 2nd half against Sydney and it looked quite good. Bolton
Colosimo - - Madaschi - - Good
Marrone - - Fred - - Thompson - - Behich
Dugandzic - - Maycon - - Williams

Dugandzic - - Maycon - - Williams This is now a big reality. Except with the 3 CBs being Good - Colosimo - Hamill.

Now if only I can find out when he next plans to have a hit, we could potentially see a 9 iron accidently fly free and hit him in the knee.......over and over.

Srhoj is an absolute ripper of a bloke..
Just kidding, he's nearly a bigger grumpy sod than Sibon was. Has never cracked a smile in his life time.
Srhojjjjjjj, Srhojjjjj will tear you apart...again.
Gotta love those shitdick yellow cards he picks up every game.

Brazilian striker Alex Terra has been ruled out for at least a fortnight after suffering a hamstring strain during Saturday night’s match against the Newcastle Jets at AAMI Park.
Terra was replaced in the 72nd minute of the contest after reporting hamstring tightness, with a subsequent MRI scan late yesterday confirming the extent of the 28-year-old’s injury.
While disappointed with the prognosis, General Manager, Football Operations John Didulica is confident Terra will return before the end of the month.
“It’s obviously disappointing to lose Alex, particularly given we’ll be losing Mate (Dugandzic), Hoffy (Jason Hoffman) and Aziz (Behich) for the next fortnight through international duty,” he said.
“Our medical team did a fantastic job in getting Fred back before schedule, so I’ve no doubt that when Alex returns, he’ll once again be a valuable player."

2 weeks isn't too bad actually
providing we don't get anymore injuries, we should have a full squad (apart from Zahra and Taseski) to choose from for the match against brisbane

Serious suggestion, I'd like to see Heart move their derby to the MCG, market the hell out of the game and then sit back and bask in the glory of 70 to 80k punters in the stands....just saying!

In case anyone searches for LaTrobe City Sports Club (as mentioned on TicketDirect), neither Google or Bing maps know anything about it!
Search for Mobil Park Eastern Pride on maps.google.com.au instead.

I'm hoping for a good crowd there based on the pre season matches. Double the 3k that turned up for both would be awesome.

Apologies if this has been posted before, but can anyone tell me if Heart members can use their season pass for the Morwell match (i.e. it's a true home game just in a different location), or if we need to buy tickets separately? I'm intending to load up a car for the trip.
