Watched In The Loop on the weekend. First time I had laughed out loud to a movie or tv show in a while. Heading back to the tv thread to watch The Thick Of It again.

I remember seeing this when I was 9 years old. My grandma had fallen asleep looking after my brother and I and caught this late night movie on one of the 3 channels it was on. Some great horror short stories, Leslie Neilsen really shows his range as an actor in the short story "something to tide you over" he should of played more villain roles.

Saw "Mad Max Fury Road" with my 11 yr old today.
INSANE.
Only thing it was missing was old Mel Gibson. Script was written in a way that pretty much any actor of any age could have played Max and whilst Hardy did a fine job, he wasn't Mel.

Mad Max Fury Road. As good as any movie I've seen in a very long time. Just stunning.

Mad Max was brilliant.
Loved the practical car effects and designs, the lack of CGI really makes the movie stunning. Gorgeous to look at, the colours and landscapes make it very watch-able.
Summer blockbuster of the year.
Also, the whole chrome/Valhalla thing made the film interesting.

mad max fury road was awesome literally never a dull moment in the whole movie. Immortan joe's mask looked awesome and the war boys did to. Lets all be honest the guy with the guitar made the entire movie. On a serious note again the music just made it that much better

TRUE DETECTIVE DIRECTOR REPORTEDLY DROPS STEPHEN KING'S IT 153 Poltergeist's poor performance may have given New Line cold feet. BY ZACK STEINDirector Cary Fukunaga has reportedly left the long-gestating big screen adaptation of Stephen King's It. The Wrap claims Fukunaga, who directed every episode of Season 1 of True Detective, fought with New Line over filming locations and budget issues which the the director felt hamstrung the project. Fukunaga made his decision this weekend, the website reports. Another source told The Wrap that New Line was feeling less confident about the project after the less-than-stellar opening of the Poltergeist remake. Marketing for that film involved a creepy clown and, as King fans know all too well, a creepy clown figures heavily into It's plot as well. Director Cary Fukunaga Director Cary Fukunaga Fukunaga's version of the movie would have called for two installments, the first focusing on the childhood timeline, and the second involving the adults' return to Derry, Maine to face their childhood terror. The book wove the two timelines together as one narrative. For the It hopeful, this is a critical blow, as Fukunaga is a huge fan of the novel and considered a film version a long-time dream. It was first adapted as a TV miniseries on ABC in 1990. In True Detective news, we recently got a look at the latest True Detective Season 2 trailer. so fucking stupid. The Poltergeist never needed a remake the original still holds up today. Stephen Kings IT however desperately needed a proper movie made. The TV movie was no where near as good as the book one of the very few movies that needed a remake with a decent budget.
Very disappointed.

Mad Max 10/10 In unrelated news, this is a good watch:
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Not sure if this one has got a mention on here before but I just watched 'Snowtown', the film based on the bodies in barrels murders in SA. Easily one of the best Aus films I have ever seen, even though it is so so hard to watch at times. https://youtu.be/fvu_tBQgZyI

Entourage movie was way better than I expected, it has a lot of laughs and some amazing celebrity cameo's crammed in.
Considering the different direction the show took in the final two seasons I was expecting more of the same but thankfully it stays true to the humour that we all loved from the early seasons.

Jurassic World 7.5/10 . Was infinitely better than the lost world and JP3 but the original is still clearly the best. Edited by scotty21: 12/6/2015 08:18:55 AM

My oldest enjoyed it . Wife did as well considering she thought the premise was absurd but got sucked in . The film might go through alot of kids heads but parents and some teens will emphasize with it. Brillant return to form by pixar

Anyone who's a fan of film-making as much as the films themselves... Can thoroughly recommend going to YouTube and searching "Dinner For Five". 48 half-hour episodes, just actors/directors sitting around talking to each other. Highly entertaining insight into how they behave around each other when they aren't trying to promote something.

Thanks for sharing this mate, I've been killing heaps of time with these over the last few days. It's great seeing these people actually at ease enough to just be their normal selves. For the most part everyone seems to get along really well in the ones I've seen thus far but far out it was obvious Jennifer Garner can't stand Kevin Smith.
