Finally saw 'Gravity' last night. Other than the painful expository dialogue in the first 10 minutes it was a pretty tight little ride.

Watched the kiwi vampire comedy what we do in the shadows. My wife lasted sabot a third of the way, couldn't stand it. I thought it was fucking hilarious.

Considering the different direction the show took in the final two seasons I was expecting more of the same but thankfully it stays true to the humour that we all loved from the early seasons. Agree with this. The movie was like one extra long episode

saw a few movies on the flight home from new zealand. Mad max fury road was incredible. Id rate it amongst the classics in the action genre Aliens, Terminator etc. Speaking of terminator I saw genisys as well. It wasn't nearly as bad as everyone makes it out to be but it wasn't that great either. Id give it a C- . it was entertaining but I probably wouldn't see it again.

Saw that shit at VMAX so I can't even comprehend how it would translate to a plane screen

A film about concussions in the NFL starring Will Smith is coming out Doubt it will be released in Australia, but it looks interesting.

It tried to mean so much more than it needed to, and that which did happen was illogical. With that budget they could have done anything they wanted, and they pissed it all down the drain. In many ways it was the cinematic equivalent of Alyssa Milano - looks fantastic but adds no value to anything.

Another great film to watch, when youre stoned  Paul Thomas Anderson adapting a Thomas Pynchon novel with Jonny Greenwood doing the music with Josh Brolin and Joaquin Phoenix starring, one of my faves. Reminded me of Lebowski a lot
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Bump
Seen a few recently
Me and Earl and the Dying Girl - a film which could signify to be the end of the canon of independent movies?
Jurassic something something 2015- more people are served as dinosaur snack food
Terminator 2015- so, khaleesi's now fighting robots? :-s
Tomorrowland - or it should be called 'yesterdayland'
Another Earth - Melancholia without Lars von Trier's one-trick pony

de Niro was more adorable in the intern than wall e and that dog from up combined. Who'd a though bobby had that in him. Martian was better than I thought it would be. Scott usually gets great performances from his actors and has a great visual eye but his movies are hit and miss. Depends a bit on the type of script he gets and other factors I guess. Either way, I enjoyed myself

I'd highly recommend "prisoners" released in 2013
Starring Hugh Jackman and Jake gyllenhaal who both put in excellent and compelling performances.
Also " we need to talk about Kevin"
Both psychological thrillers that are well acted and have intense story lines, which I like. Both movies had me wanting more when they finished the first time I watched them

The book was one of the best I've read in the last few years. So maybe that's why it disappointed me. Music is by johnny from radiohead. I will have to check out prisoners

The Lion Guard was just released. Probably the best of the Lion King sequels, even if it is kind of more a reboot than a sequel. The honey badger is annoying as fuck though. Good for the younger kids and obviously the music is nowhere near as good but that's understandable.

-PB It's alright, in comparison to the other Daniel Craig ones it's not a scratch on Casino Royale or Skyfall. Not a great plot overall and the villain just didn't do it for me. Some funny moments though

New Batman v Superman trailer is out, can confirm ejaculation *SPOILERS* Doomsday confirmed, seems to be a genetic abomination made by Luthor out of the dead body of Zod Main problems: I'm still not convinced by Eisenberg as Luthor, needs more Zuckerberg-esque arrogance and ego as opposed to the crazy scientist character in the trailer. Also, Batman with guns doesn't look right

Also, Batman with guns doesn't look right All the teaser trailers for this movie have been great. Really pumped me up for it. This main trailer has me a bit????? Cant put my finger on it. Like Clark Kent meets Bruce Wayne and Lex Luthor at a function for the first time. Scenes like that make me think they need to rush things to get to the Dragon Ball Z part of the movie. The last 3 batman and the man of steel were super seriuos in tone, but this one looks lighter - weird. Also Wonder Woman just appears. Hope that is not her introduction. Looks more like a knee jerk reaction to cram another character in before Marvels Civil War wipes the box office out. Hopefully she has some solid lead in before that scene.
