oh and more on tdkr..
did anyone else think that bane's death was really, really underdone and seemingly not that big a climax for the main rival throughout the movie finally being killed?

I disagree,
the point being that for all his strength, skill and evil warmongering, a simple man, with a gun was able to kill him. not a Superhero, not some dramatic plot twist, one ordinary man. It runs with the overall storyline of the trilogy that Batman needed to be a Symbol that would show others that they can stand up for what's right.
i get what you're saying there, and i don't disagree with it, but i'm thinking along the lines of
he was seemingly the main villain for the majority of the movie, but after he was killed there wasn't even a cut-across to see how he was, he literally was just ignored the moment the catburglar rolled in. i like how he actually died, but his death just seemed as non-important as any one of the cops that died in the streets in the fact that you saw him die, but no interest or attention was paid to him afterwards.
oh yeah something i thought i'd add - those meme creators must really be stretching for ideas because before going into the film i had this picture in my head that bane would always be saying "do this... and then you have my permission to die" because of how many memes i'd seen of that, but i can only really recall 2-3 times it was said in the movie. that was probably the only over-hyped thing the entire movie didn't deliver for me - and i'm not angry it wasn't said more in the movie.

he died, there's not much more you can do, plus there was the whole Fussion bomb that needed dealing with so Batman had to get moving, plus he was but a puppet in the end, only there to serve a purpose. once it was established that he was the rues, he became unimportant as any of the other soldiers who had died.
 Total Recall did well it's opening weekend in America.
Opened at #2 with $26m. That's only a fraction more than the original in 1990 which opened with $25.5m, when tickets were much much cheaper.

He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Couldn' t have worked out any better for both movies

Looks OK. Dunno if it'll beat the original. Forever the American "Tomorrow When the War Began". (Although TWTWB was based off Red Dawn). Looks like instead of the Russians, they've replaced them with the Chinese. Doubt they'll mention who the invading Army is like in the TWTWB movie, to save a lot of political backfire.

I think they're meant to be North Koreans invading. Doesn't look to bad though, will definitely give it a watch.

This story has potential to become an amazing plot, especially in an American context. Thank fuck Michael Bay's name is nowhere to be seen in association with this.
