if doc wants dairy farmers thats hes choice. i dont like the name suncorp, its just a company name ffs, i liked everything about the club, but not the stadium name. if i was called Brisbane United, would i have got a new stadium? i woulda had to use the same one i think .

I don't want Dairy Farmers but i'm putting up with it so are others like CUA Stadium it was said right at the start that we're going to stick to the normal stadium names but we can increase/decrease capacity which is only fair you can change it nobody's getting special exemption's here like even Ajax is playing out of Redfern park and you should wait and see where Wagga are playing, martin broughton (replacement for jesus) all this is doing is making a bigger fuss for afro by having to go into editor and whatnot

AFC Melbourne Attendances struggle

After a promising pre-season membership drive, it seems that AFC Melbourne's attendance has fallen away as the gloss has warn off from the new club. Averaging just 8,086 fans at each game, they're experiencing less than half those of A-League Power House Melbourne Revolution (24,013) and a significant number less than West Melbourne, who are averaging some 12,000 but both are still some way off Wellington Phoenix's 21,103 and Perth Rangers' 17,143 at the top of the league.

Although it's early days in the season it seems that Hunt's controversial decision to place the AFC Melbourne in the second division has been vindicated.

I was trying to keep things 'realistic'. I can't change the stadium name now that everything has been loaded in anyway.

Brisbane Roar Anger At Queensland Stadiums Australia

Brisbane Roar chairman Ahmed Essof expressed his dismay today at Queensland Stadiums Australia over their handling of the name change for Suncorp Stadium.

It was believed that the stadium was to be renamed 3 Kings Park after a contract was signed between QSA and The Roar.

It was yesterday revelead that QSA had not lived up to their obligations and have stuck with the name Suncorp Stadium.

Essof was quoted as saying "A deal was struck with the government and QSA and then without notice we saw the Suncorp signs return and no explanation why."

The Roar received help from the FFA in regard to the mess up, but both boards were told to go away without reason.

The Roar have said no further action will take place, but they are not happy with QSA

After learning of Essof's anger at their inability to change the name of Lang Park, QSA have responded with a prepared statement early this afternoon stating that they were unable to break with the contract with Suncorp's naming rights. The dispute over the naming rights has gone on for several days now, and with Lang Park management refusing to comment on the dispute it has been down to the FFA and QSA to sort the matter out.

It's believed that Suncorp currently hold the naming rights for around $10m/year. The FFA, having been left to clarify the mess found that the QSA are unwilling to break a contract of that value that still has to run until 2012. FFA chairman Hunt is quoted as saying, "There is no way that the FFA is going to spend over $10m simply to change the name of a stadium when there is no forseeable return on their investment. It simply won't do for the FFA to be wasting this kind of money with a World Cup bid on the horizon."

It's just a stadium name lol.
