Tebow would make them relevant for the first time since Tom Coughlin left.

They made the play-offs twice since he left. Jus' sayin'. There's more to it than that.

Honestly, Jacksonville should never have existed in the first place with the Bucs and Fins already in Florida (not to mention the Gators, Bulldogs and MU).

While Tebow might get bums on seats, it's a short-term solution unless they find a way to start winning games. But with the way Jacksonville are going, they're headed for a Detroit-esque run of mediocrity.

Which is exaclty why he's work the risk

BTW, Florida is a hotbed of football, second only to Texas. IIRC, the whole reason the Jags exist is because that area is massive for college football and the NFL was hoping to tap into that. All the more case for them getting Tebow.

Lol, no idea who he is going to. Schefter has said both Jags and Jets have had trades accepted.

The deal with the Jets is complete.

You really have to applaud the Jets' management decisions; re-sign two back-up QB's, offer last season's starter a new $40m deal, and then trade two draft picks for another teams dud TE-turned-QB who would make a better RB.

Shall miss Green-Ellis. Not someone who will go for massive yardage, but he's a safe RB. He hasn't fumbled ever during his time in the league.

Not sure how I feel about Woodhead being number one RB. Good backup, but he's small and does occasionally fumble. Hopefully Ridley will come along in his second season.

He's a short-term solution to developing our own product. We need a ready-made center right now while Dietrich-Smith develops, I think.

The big talking point that's been missed because of Tebowmania is Curtis Lofton joining the Saints...are they going to line up 3-4 next season, or are the Saints preparing themselves for possible sanctions faced by Jonathan Vilma?

It wasn't who they signed, it was the fact they signed a free agent at all! I was starting to look at centre's in the draft list.

I don't think we were never not going to sign a Center. It was in the back of my mind that we might not, but really, everyone knows that you're not going to win a superbowl with a rookie center.

And another one in 'bowl winning DE Hargrove. I think that's an awesome pick-up, personally. Though I hope we pick up a DE in the draft as well.

The new Packer uniform is largely unchanged. Good to see they didn't mess with it too much. Loving the Nike gloves, but the Seahawks kit with the fluro trim looks awful.

The recordings of Williams pre-game speech from the Niners game made me sick to the stomach. He should be banned for life. And Payton's suspension should be extended.

There's talk that bounties are far more widespread and that this is a far from isolated incident. If that's true, I'm worried about the future of the sport.

Apparently some of the targeted players, like Favre and Warner, have said bounty's are part of the game. But that doesn't change the fact it's wrong and extremly poor sportsmanship. Stuff like that shouldn't be considered part of the game and it's pretty weak of them to say so. It also raises a few eyebrows, if they think it's normal then perhaps they have played in teams where it has occured.

Payton should get a lengthy ban for sure.

I'll be interested to see if the League's investigations lead to any player suspensions and whether or not that will include Vilma.

Every single game they've played in the last 4 seasons (at least) should be investigated for opponent injuries as well.

If bounties are a part of the game, that directly contravenes all the work that the NFL have set about doing to prevent concussions.

Packers Schedule is a little bit fucked. Not so much the teams and how we're playing them, but the order of the games. The first four weeks are ridiculous...and then after the bye is just 'lolwut?'

Noners
Bears
@Seahawks
Saints
@Colts
@Texans
@Rams
Jaguars
Cardinals
Bye
@Detroit
@Giants
Vikings
Lions
@Chicago
Titans
@Vikings

So many NFC games after the bye...

There are also companies like Roadtrips that package tickets with accomodation, if you are going to need somewhere to stay anyway.

That's a more expensive way to go about it though.

When you factor in the accomodation you'd need anyway, I thnk its a good way to do it. I know Roadtrips cause I used them when I went to Lambeau. I wouldn't have got accomodation in Green Bay otherwise, cause the place is heavily booked on game weekends. Also, they buy tix from season ticket holders to put in their packages so you are likely to get better seats.

There is no doing it on your own if all the accomodation is booked out by tour companies.;)
At the time, they were quite resonable. The only issue we had was the first accomodation they offered was in Appleton (but a half hour drive from GB), but I complained and they got me a motel in town.

That's the only real downside to the Pack playing in such a small town, the complete lack of accommodation and infrastructure.
