Jags have confirmed that they're playing 1 'home' game a season in London for the '13-16 seasons.

As if that's going to save them from moving to LA.

Tbh, it probably is. The whole sport in Florida is struggling. The Jags are only getting 60-70% attendance and are having ot tarp over seats to avoid media black-outs. Their owner is about to be forced to trade away their marquee RB and the fans are getting restless.

While the Rams, Bucs and Browns are all weighing up the pros and cons of moving to LA, it makes good business sense for the Jags to be the team putting their hand up for London, where if a more 'permanent' move eventuates they receive rebates and salary cap concessions.

I honestly don't see the NFL having a permanent team in London ever.
Jacksonville has been a shambles from the beggining. They shouldn't have been awarded a franchise (you can google the controversy over them getting it over better bids) and they just didn't manage to convert the local college fans to pro fans. Then they had the great chance to do so by signing Tebow and they didn't even try. LA Jaguars for mine.

Hence 'permanent' being in commas. The best they'll get is a 50-50 split with games between Jacksonville and London. But that's just 4 london games a season and 4 games in Jacksonville. With less games to go to, fans will be more likely to attend and sell out games.

College football in Florida is huge, but there's just no demand for pro football there unfortunately. But I can't see the owner moving them to LA.

The Packers this morning were decent. Lots of rotation through the passing game but it was decidedly average. We do miss Finley.

49ers are going to go backwards this year, just a feeling I get. Their defence dominated last year and probably will again, but I can't see the offence mathcing last years effort. They'll have a much harder schedule to deal with.

I can see the Seahawks topping the Niners this year.

Ravens' D will struggle without Suggs.

Falcons will make the play-offs in WC pos ahead of the Bears. Otherwise pretty much spot on.

Tbh, he actually had a pretty good game Thursday night. Ogletree to have a break-out year. Called it pre-season. Cowboys actually look pretty deep in the receiving corps this year and could be a chance of the Conference title with all the DB injuries the Giants are having.

So, RG3 looks good.

Good win to start the season by the patriots. Looks like Ridley will be a more than adequate replacement for Green-Ellis.

Nothing more frustrating than handing someone alot of money only for him to turn to shit. He is almost uncatchable if he beats the defence but he just cant seem to get past the line of scrimmage right now!

11 carries for just 4 yards is a disgusting return for someone on his wages.

How much of that is down to him and how much is down to his blockers missing their assignments though? Expect Titans to use their first two picks in next years draft on O-liners.

Nothing more frustrating than watching the Packers Offence turn to shit though. They really should have done better against the Niners. They haven't been the same since Jennings got injured. Hopefully they get their sharpness back against the Bears. Lots of teams are covering deep against us and challenging us to throw underneath.

I'd like to see Benson dropped in preference to Alex Green too.

Packers D is the only reason you're still in our tie  Hopefully Sanchez reverts to his usual self so I get big points from the Steelers D. Mostly, I think our tie probably hinges on how Megatron plays.

I've got Marshall in my other league...so I was a bit torn on that one  I settled on being stoked that he had a shocker after all the trash he was talking with Jay Cutler this week.

I loved the way after the game a reporter asked Cutler "Did you ever envision tonight would go this badly?" and he responded "Yeah, I dream of throwing 4 picks and being sacked 7 times." ask a silly question...

You can move players from the subs to starters right up until the start of their match, you jsut can't Add/drop players after the start of the match day.

Some HUGE games this morning.

Gostkowski misses what would have been the game-winning field goal as the Pats go down to the Cards.

The Panthers steamroll the Saints in another comedy-of-errors performance from New Orleans.

Ben Tate helps the Texans steamroll the Jags with 2 TD's in a stellar running performance.

Buffalo and the Bengals blitz the chiefs and browns respectively, 3 sacks and a pick for Dqwell Jackson a shining light for the Browns.

And Josh Freeman's interception with 18 seconds left on the clock has allowed the Giants to pile 25 points on in the 4th quarter to steamroll home over the Bucs wiht Manning throwing for 510 yards (199 to Hakeem Nicks).

Poor Gost. He was the reason we were in the game in the first place. Our offense was poor...and Hernandez went down early and looks like he could be gone for a while :( Chandler Jones however, was brilliant in the pass rush. One for the future.

Didn't help us at all a couple of big referee calls went against us. We got called for a false start on 4th and short when lining up for a field goal, yet the replays showed no-one on our side moved, and the defense should have been called offside. Then, late in the game, Woodhead had a a touchdown run ruled out after a debateable holding call on Gronkowski.

Nah, that holding call was legit. And that 4th and short was on or around the 10 yard line, so with the 10 yard penalty Gostkowski's kick got a whole lot easier.

Texans @ Broncos and Pats @ Ravens...some big games this week. Packers have to get their passing game back to its best this week against the Seahawks secondary. And we get to see whether the Lions' gamble on Mike Leshoure was worth it.

Lost the game in the 4th quarter. Very disappointing.

In other news, my tipping went to shit this week.
