I just hope for Arsene's sack he signs a defender and 2 midfielders when Nasri and Cesc leave and this team performs like we know they can.

Probable line-up if Cesc and Nasri stay and possible transfers go through.
------------------------RVP--------------------- Mata/Gervinho/Nasri---Fabregas---Gervinho/Walcott ------------------Wilshere--Song----------------- Gibbs--Koscielny/Djourou/Jagielka/Samba/Mertesacker/Cahill  ---Vermaelen--Sagna ----------------------Szczesny------------------
Fabianski Koscielny/Djourou/Jagielka/Samba/Mertesacker/Cahill Diaby Rosicky Jadson Mata/Gervinho/Nasri/Walcott Ramsey

Ok now time for me to backtrack on a lot of what I said before
So maybe the press conference wasn't as cataclysmic as I made it out to be  Apparently going by a lot of the reaction from people to actually watching the press conference is that a lot of what he said was just to wind the journos up and he was smiling and grinning through the whole thing.
Would not surprise me one bit if that's the case.

When watching it back and seeing him smile the whole way through it's just typical Arsene winding up the press  Edited by sydneycroatia58: 12/8/2011 08:06:07 PM

That was great but my favourites are telling Pulis to shut up and the goal against Juve, everything about it was symbolic.

In other non Cesc news Gervinho has taken his favoured #27, which was Eboues, which could be a sign of another departure considering Eboue hasn't taken a new number.

thanks for the memories Cesc, enjoy barcelona, but from my pov i dont think he will be getting much game time. Barca have killed one of my favourite players career in Afellay, he was a gun, and should have come to someone like us. But all the best!

In other news after about 50 twists and turns it seems we've finally signed Joel Campbell  Quote: Arsenal agree deal to sign Joel Campbell Arsenal Football Club has agreed terms with Costa Rican side Deportivo Saprissa to sign teenage striker Joel Campbell. The 19-year-old who was in the Costa Rica squad for the recent Copa América and the Under-20 World Cup, has chosen the Gunners despite strong interest from a host of top European clubs. Born in the Costa Rican capital San José, Campbell is predominantly left-footed and has made six full international appearances, scoring twice. He scored on his debut in a 5-0 win over Cuba at this year’s CONCACAF Gold Cup, helping his side to the Quarter-Final of the competition. Campbell added a second to his tally against Bolivia in the Copa América. He has also scored ten times in twelve appearances at Under-20 level, including two goals in three appearances in the Under-20 World Cup in Colombia. Campbell has had two seasons in his native Primera División, where he played for Deportivo Saprissa and on loan at Puntarenas, making a total of eight league appearances. Deportivo Saprissa is one of the top clubs in the CONCACAF region and has won the Costa Rican Premier League a record 29 times. The transfer is subject to the completion of formal agreements and processes. Arsenal Manager Arsène Wenger said: “Joel Campbell has already shown that he is a player with great ability, and has also performed well on the international stage at a young age. We look forward to the formalities of the transfer being completed and working with Joel when he joins us at Arsenal."Arsenal Football Club has agreed terms with Costa Rican side Deportivo Saprissa to sign teenage striker Joel Campbell. Not really anything tbh. Both out of the squad obviously because of transfer business, because both are fit.

Then again it will replaced by that arrogant tool Neymar wanting to play for Europe's elites and every journo fapping over his "talents."

Keepers? I'm more than happy with Szczesny, Fabianski and Mannone. We won't nor do we need to buy a keeper.

Reports in Spain that we are targeting Andre Ayew. He's got a release clause of E13m and would be an excellent signing.
