What sort of record does Torres have against Arsenal? Torres has played 8 matches against Arsenal. 7 when at Liverpool and just the 1 so far at Chelsea and has scored 3 goals. His last goal against Arsenal came in the 4-4 back in 2008-09

Didn't Torres score a brace in that 4-4... Yossi got 2, Torres got 2....? Or am I forgetting something. I remember that classy one where he feinted and put it in the far corner, but I thought he got another as well.

Champions league is still in our hands. If Spuds and Newcastle win their 2 games in hand we'll still be 1 point ahead. Stoke,Norwich and West Brom to come. Stoke's the only one im worried about tbh.
Anybody have Rambo's passing stats? Surely it was in the high 90's.

Horrible match, but a draw isn't the worst result in the world. 6 pts ahead of Newcastle and Sp*rs. Ok they have games in hand but we still have it all in our hands.

One thing that tonight showed for sure is just how much we missed Koscielny in the last 2 games, maybe not so much Wolves, but definitely against Wigan. He was immense tonight and our MOTM for sure I thought.

Also think Gibbs deserves credit. Showed just why he was picked ahead of Santos.

I have no problems with Santos at left back, he showed he is good enough to play there before he got injured although I think Gibbs is better.

Doesn't he usually go to holidays in Dubai? The bigger rumour is a move to Juventus. That won't happen, but it's a sign of things to come...

Yeah he does, but at the time he was supposed to be at Heathrow, the first team was training so something doesn't add up there:lol: As for this Juventus thing, it's all a bit meh. That's just his agent doing what agents do really and is routine when it comes to a situation like this. Edited by sydneycroatia58: 25/4/2012 10:44:30 AM

Cant afford to slip up. We must get third because Chelsea can do anything in the UCL final.

I am really worried about Stoke this week. They look like they've switched off, but against us it's like their fucking Champions League final. They were horrible against Newcastle, but watch them play like fucking Barcelona this week.
Just hope we can get a win and then I'm less worried about our last 2 games. 3 points this week is massive considering Newcastle's run in.

Fucking Chelsea, they better not go all the way. At least it will force us to play with desperation again.
Apparently Wenger will not extend Denilson's loan deal during Europes off season and wants him back by July. Can anyone make sense of this? We are already overflowing with underwhelming centre mids of his kind. Maybe the plan is to force a transfer fee if they want him back?
Also, what is happening with Podolski? Wasn't it supposed to be wrapped up a month ago? Surely a good time to strike now while they still only have a 50/50ish chance of staying in the Bundesliga.
I agree that this weekend vs Stoke is a massive game for us.

How exactly are we overflowing with underwhelming centre mids?
As for Podolski, I think Koln are really worried about the fans reaction to the announcement.

As for Podolski, I think Koln are really worried about the fans reaction to the announcement. Just that he probably wouldn't be an improvement on the backup we have like Ramsey, Diaby, Coquelin, Frimpong or maybe one or two coming back from loan like Lansbury. We definitely don't need more depth enough to keep Denilson hanging around anyway. But I'm bias, I just want there to be room and need for M'Villa :P Of which by the way there's rumours surfacing that "advanced negotiations" may have started.

I don't think there will be problems about finding room for M'Vila if that transfer eventuates. Denilson will be gone, if not sold he'll be gone on loan. Eastmond will be sold and don't surprised to see Lansbury sold unless he has a big pre-season. Also think Frimpong will be sent on loan again. The perfect scenario for next season would be go into the season with Song, Arteta, Jack, Rambo, Coquelin, M'Vila and Diaby.

That seems a bit excessive after you chuck Rosicky, Arshavin and Ox in as midfield options don't you think? I know we need depth, but that's a 400k pound per week midfield. Surely that would have some effect on other areas of the pitch.

I love the way you guys are making tactical plans based around players who don't actually play for Arsenal.

As far as players, I really only see one player being discussed that isn't at Arsenal. I don't see anything wrong with discussing the group of midfielders to go into next season with. Arshavin will be gone and Ox will not be in the squad primarily as an option in the middle so wouldn't include him in there the same with Arshavin if he somehow stays. Really I don't think it's to excessive considering the injuries we get. I mean right now look at the injuries we've got. Jack and Mikel out, Coquelin just back from injury and not match fit. Our only fit midfielders are Song, Rosicky(Even though there's doubts about him at the moment), Rambo who's got no confidence at the moment and Diaby who you don't know when the next time he's going to break down. I don't really see how adding 1 more midfielder is excessive. Edited by sydneycroatia58: 25/4/2012 08:12:07 PM

I see it as excessive if all of our midfielder's are fit. Its hard to balance really, you need depth, but you also need to keep players happy. M'vila wouldn't come without the guarantee of a starting birth (and we wouldn't splash the cash on him if we didnt think it was worth it). Jack is also a near certain starter, so that means we would have to pick one of Song,Arteta,Rozza,Rambo or Coquelin.
Personally, I think M'vila is unnecessary considering we now play a midfield pivot which doesn't necessarily have one designated defensive player.
Song/Coquelin Arteta/Ramsey Wilshere/Rozza.
