Yep 4:45 KO, I've got it IQ'd for when I wake up at 6:30, fuck waking up at 5am. I've been trying to predict a line up based on what Arsene said about 7-8 players that started at Southampton playing against Montpellier. This is the best I've got ---Mannone---
--Jenks---Boss---Per---Santos---
---Diaby---Arteta---
---Theo-------Cazorla------Poldi---
---Giroud--- Although I get the feeling Theo won't be starting, could be Ox or Gerv in his place. And maybe Gibbs might start over Santos. Not fussed either way.

One other option is to rest Diaby for this match and keep Coquelin there and bring back Abou for City this weekend, which imo is probably a better idea.

Very happy with that start. Bit on the backfoot in the 2nd half at times, but that's not a huge susprise away from home in the opening game.
Thought we were a bit unlucky for their penalty, seen them not given plenty of times, but very happy with the way we came back. Loved the way Santi, Olivier and Poldi linked up for our first goal, so well worked. And what a cross by Jenks for the 2nd goal, measured to perfection.
People will criticise Giroud, but I liked what I saw tonight, linked up really well in the first half, 2nd half he dropped away as a result of being so isolated with us dropping deeper. One thing's for sure, he will not lose a lot of aerial duels this year. It felt like everytime we hit a long pass or a clearance from Mannone Giroud won the header every single time.
All in all can't really be anything other than very happy with the win and a good platform for the rest of the group. Now for City this weekend.

Also Gervinho, just wow. Looks like a completely new player. At times it was hard to figure out what position he was playing this morning because he was fucking everywhere

Can't complain about the pen tbh.. he may have got the ball but if he did he went through the man to do so. Clumsy, he should know better.
Podolski is a quality player. Shame Giroud hasn't settled as quickly. Has he scored at all yet?

Podolski is a quality player. Shame Giroud hasn't settled as quickly. Has he scored at all yet? I can see why it was given, my main complaint is that we see that not given a lot. Thems the breaks though. Na he hasn't scored yet, but nothing to worry about. Main thing is he's at least getting into the positions to score and has had a big hand in other goals we've scored. The goals will come eventually, I never expected him to hit the ground running.

Good to see Podolski and Gervais get ahead the own goal count...

He reminds me of Di Santo. Scores a few and looks like he has been banging them in for ten years, like it's nothing new

Once Match fit, it will be interesting to see where he plays in our current setup.
