Some thoughts I wanted to post last night but decided to keep on drinking :lol:

Laurent Koscielny. What else is there to say about this man, so much love for him right now. He was the exact definition of beast mode last night, absolutely unstoppable and the 2nd season in a row he's scored the winner on the final day to confirm our Champions League spot.

So we finish the season 3 pts better off than last season, 10 goals better off in terms of GD and with the 2nd best defensive record in the league. Not bad after all those predictions of us finishing outside the European places.

Arsene and his coaching staff deserve a fuckload of credit for this season. I think we can all safely agree this is his weakest squad in his time at the club and despite all that he has found a way once again. I don't think even the most ardent anti-Wenger could begrudge him some congratulations for the way our season has turned around. And now onto easily his biggest summer in his time at the club

Lets also just take some time out to laugh at Sp*rs. Yet again we had to put up with all this talk about how this was their year and how they're so much better than us and how there's no way we'll finish above them. Yet again they've cocked up a sizeable lead. Take not Sp*rs, that is how you close out a season, now fuck off back to that shadow where you belong.

Also a massive well done to whoever spread the rumour at WHL that Newcastle had equalised in our game, very well played :lol:

Also a special mention to Olivier Giroud who I thought was excellent when he came on and put in a huge effort defensively.

Gary Neville is already easily my favourite pundit, and is quickly becoming one of only a few to speak any sense about Arsenal

Happy St Totteringham's Day everyone...

As you celebrate consider this... we will strengthen in the summer and we will be a stronger team across the park. We'll have a manager who after all he's achieved still has something to prove (in the final year of his contract). We will not want for anything - and there can be no more excuses.

We must start next season as we've finished this. We need is to convince ourselves that we are a title contender - not a top 4 team but a genuine title contender and go into the season with that belief.

2013/14 - the 10-year anniversary of the Invincibles - it's time to get that swagger back!

Have to take my hat off to Arsenal, at the start of the season, I didn't think they had a shot at Europe. Obviously a lot is down to Tottenham's failings but you deserve to finish where you finish.

Still years off where they want to be but credit where it's due.

Was also fun seeing fans of other clubs mocking us for our celebrations. I mean fans of clubs above us mocking us I have no problem with, and I'd be doing the exact same thing, but Liverpool and Sp*rs fans mocking us was hilarious because we are where they would kill to be and they'd be doing the exact same thing in our position.

Looks like he (and Bale) is about to throw feaces... those crazy monkeys...

Interesting that City picked up 39 points in both halves of the season.

Liverpool must have the biggest up-swing in points won (11).

Apparently a report in Italy that his agent is in London for a meeting with Arsenal.

Not a bad pick up for a free. We dont really have any good young strikers on our books atm, although Akpom looks promising.

What do Arsenal fans think of Jovetic for reportedly 24.5 Million pounds. Has been given a lot of credit for Fiorentina's push for top 3 but looking at the stats he scored one goal less this year than last. Just looking at the stats I would say their two big improvements attacking at least have been Valero coming in and getting 11 assists and Ljajic having a breakout season with 11 goals and 8 assists (he was involved in 1 more goal than Jovetic). I have not watched them though and just looking at Jovetics highlights Fiorentina may play a similar style to Arsenal so could he could fit in quickly and is a possible reason Wenger may be willing to pay a little extra for him. Also I would have said that Benteke's 16 pro league goals last season would not indicate him to being as good as he has been so I am no expert.

He's a talented young player, but he's had a few senior players question his motivation and attitude.

Jovetic is unlikely to be as cheap as 24m. Try closer to 28 or 30. They turned down a similar bid last summer.

Jovetic and Bentekkers are incredibly different players. Benteke offers us more of the same, whereas Jovetic can actually create from the front, and also do a shift on the wing if need be. Would much refer Jovetic in our current system.
