Whats wrong with having Danny Ings as a back up to Giroud?? It would be a low risk with a high reward if it did pay off besides he'd cost about 6 million he's young english highly rated and scoring for fun in the championship , How many strikers of late have made the adjustment from the championship up to the epl ? off the top of my head Lambert Holt Jay Rodriguez (Although he's more of a wide forward) Andy Johnson Danny Graham (He started well enough although now he's not the best example lol) Kevin Phillips Have all stepped up to the prem and i'm sure i've missed a few so i'm not sure why he's a laugh worthy suggestion besides i know who i'd rather have in my team between him and fucking Bendnter.

We dont need Danny Ings as he's no better than Bendtner  Right him off all you want but in the game he started he got us a goal, which is exactly what we need. Giroud rarely gets injured anyway, so I think we'll be alright. With Podolski on the bench we have the goals needed in us to win us the title (not that I think we will)

Quote:Kim Kallstrom: Arsenal signing injured back in beach game
By David Ornstein BBC Sport New Arsenal signing Kim Kallstrom faces a spell on the sidelines with a back injury discovered in the medical before he signed on loan from Spartak Moscow. Midfielder Kallstrom, 31, is set to miss at least six games. The Swede was hurt on Tuesday while playing football on a beach during Spartak's pre-season tour in Abu Dhabi. He told Arsenal of his discomfort on arrival at the club on Friday but despite an MRI scan showing no damage, a CT scan found an issue with his back. The Arsenal medical team provided manager Arsene Wenger with the prognosis, but it was decided Kallstrom would still join and undergo his rehabilitation with the Gunners. He is expected to miss at least Arsenal's next six matches, in which they face Crystal Palace, Liverpool twice, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Sunderland. Kallstrom did not train with his new team-mates on Friday or Saturday and will briefly return to Sweden and Russia before moving to London and beginning a course of treatment. The former Lyon player, Arsenal's only signing in the January transfer window, joined on loan until the end of the season to provide cover for injured midfielders Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere, plus the suspended Mathieu Flamini. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/26000458.....the fuck? Names like Berbatov, Miroslav Klose, Kostas Mitroglou are being thrown around and then there's an inexperienced young Championship striker with only half a good season under his belt that you were suggesting was the sort of signing to push us on to the next level and increase the possibility of us winning a title. No one in their right mind can expect a player like that to come in and make the difference, especially when he's not even going to be playing at all. I mean all those players you suggested made the adjustment at mid-table clubs where they would actually get a game and wouldn't be under the weight of expectation that a young player signing for the Arsenal would have. Players like Danny Ings make the step-up to a Southampton or a Fulham, or a West Brom, not Arsenal. Alex95 wrote:i know who i'd rather have in my team between him and fucking Bendnter. Well as long as Nicklas Bendtner never loses that knack of popping up from time to time with crucial goals to win games (see game against Cardiff this season) I couldn't care less what the idiots on the internet think. Busby talks about having a few extra goals in the team but that's always what we've had in Bendtner. Say what you like about him but without his goals in those three seasons between 2007-2010, things could have been very different. We could have fallen off the pace even sooner in the 09/10 season if it wasn't for the crucial goals he scored like the winner in the 95th minute vs Wolves. And 47 goals in 168 games looks a lot better when you realise more than half of those appearances were off the bench and he was often played out of position on the wing. Honestly, call me crazy but I'd rather have Bendtner than Berbatov.

Bendtner still has something to prove to Gooners and the desire to win things at Arsenal Bendtner (whilst not at Giroud's level) has a better work rate that Berbatov Bendtner adds more of an aerial dimension than Berbatov (we have tons of players that can play intricate passing and strike a ball with their feet) Bendtner (unlike Berbatov) never played for Spurs. That is all.

Good win, controlled the game. Santi playing himself into some amazing form before these tough fixtures, Giroud looking sharp and Ozil cruising along.
That performance from Ox up there with his one against Milan. Stunning.

Of course it's Santi, Özil couldn't do that on his right foot if you gave him 1000 attempts at it

Cazorla has been absolutely ridiculous this past month. What a a luxury to have? Ozil cruising along and controlling games? Have Santi on either flank doing the same, the combo is starting to work really well and gives me good hope for the next few games. If only we had Theo :(

Now starts the 8 weeks from hell...
Liverpool (a) - EPL ManU (h) - EPL Liverpool (h) - FAC BayernM (h) - UCL Sunderland (h) - EPL Stoke (a) - EPL Swansea (a) - EPL BayernM (a) - UCL Totthenham (a) - EPL Chelsea (a) - EPL Man City (h) - EPL Everton (a) - EPL
...and sandwiched in this lot may be additional FA Cup (and for the very optimistic) UCL matches.
Don't get me wrong we are good enough to beat every one of these teams but to back up game after game will test us to the extreme and (probably) expose our squad depth.
To have any chance of winning the league we must be within 5pts of whomever is top come April 5. Our run in from there is good (compared to our rivals) so we have to keep in touch.
Realistically I think the FA Cup (if we get over Liverpool) probably offers us the best chance of silverware this year. One of Chelsea/Man City out of the way and it'll only (likely) be the other as the one that remains as our main contender for the Cup.

 The first 7 games of that run don't look terrifying, tough but not horrible. It's the last 5 games that make this whole run vomit worthy.

Yeah, those final 5 weeks are going to be long.
I've always been of the belief in the EPL that if you lose 6 or more games, you can't win the title. So going off my rule, we have possibly 2 losses and a draw or two up our sleeve. But that doesn't take into account the goal-scoring-machine that is City - who I genuinely believe can win every single game left of the season.
These next 3 months are going to be intense!

Ok, so it could get better in that if we get past Liverpool we could draw Everton/Chelsea/Man City away on the weekend we have the Swansea EPL game. If we do get past Bayern Munich our next matches take place either side of the Everton match... to just extend that challenging run a little bit more!
