Just watching highlights and hadn't realised just how involved Sanogo was late on in normal time and into ET. I counted at least 4, including our goal, clear goalscoring opportunities he played a major part in.

Headed the ball on for Gibbs who had his shot cleared off the line for a corner.
From that same corner he lays the ball off for Ox whose scuffed shot is headed in by Per
In ET he has a great chance that Carson tips over the bar
He holds off a defender, lays it off to Ox who then smacks a shot against the bar

Considering he started the game was very impressed by how involved he got as the game went on, think Giroud coming on helped him, gave him a little more space to work in.

Thank god it's Hull and not Sheffield, did not want to play them.

Anyone else think it will be Wengers swansong, regardless of the result??

Really wanted that Sheffield fairytale story tbh.

Worried about Huddleston, he's a monster.

On the Wigan game, my thoughts:
- Wigan did insanely well
- Apart from the silly challenge for the pen, I couldn't fault Per (nor Verminator)
- Gibbs had a huge impact, I much prefer him to Monorail
- Ox was my MotM, easily. Was everywhere. Wish he scored that chance he had in the first minute - I had a bet with Eastern Glory that he would score in the first 4 mins and nearly had a heart attack when he made that run through!
- I was very underwhelmed with Arteta.
- I had a lot of frustration towards Sanogo, particularly before Giroud came on.
- Fabianski had one of them nights, he'll be on top of the world. Only fault I could see was one time he charged outside his box nearly, and wide, and it gave me a heartattack but nothing came of it.
- I felt we missed Jack above anyone else, there were so many times where we would normally play in the midfield exactly where Jack would be, and no one was there.
- Am hoping that Fab, Giroud & Flam start the final tbh.

I said a week or so ago that Arsene will leave regardless of the result if we made the final and I still think he will.

He's contracted until 2017. You'd have to pay a fair bit to get him.

Mile Jedinak talk mounting again.

Wouldn't mind we let Arteta go, keep Flam (a must IMO) and share CDM between Flam & Jedi tbh.

We've missed a holding mid for many years. Jedi is one of if not the best performing holding mids in the game at the moment IMO.

This. I love Mile to death, but just no. No doubt Mile is one f the best defensive midfielders in England, in terms of breaking up play, and maybe even one of the best in Europe at it, but we need a midfielder who can break up play and also pass the ball at a more than average level.

Jedinak currently has a pass success % of 71.8. The only midfielder at the club who has a lower % than that is Kim Kallstrom who has played 11 minutes of league football. Mile is a full 9% behind our worst midfielder in terms of passing and is 20% behind both our DM's Arteta and Flamini

In fairness with those statistics, Crystal Palace ask him to play a lot more long balls than Arsenal's tactics do.

Not trying to slight Jedinak, but put any decent Premier League DM in Palaces system and they'll get the same stats, if not better (bar aerial duals). He might fit in at a mid table club that only wants their DM to sit in front of their defense that's parked near their box, but not many mid table clubs actually do that like Palace.

Podolski's finishing is amazing, too bad he can't do anything else :(. But hey, Ramsey to probably start on the weekend and apparently Ozil will be back, I'd imagine on the bench though. Things are looking up.

Was very similar to last season  They open the scoring, we equalise not long after and run over the top of them in the 2nd half.

Much better from Giroud, more of that please. His touch for his goal was so disgustingly good, as was Rambo's header for Poldi's 2nd goal. Speaking of Rambo, my God it's good to have him back, but also fucking annoying at the same time knowing what we missed while he was away.

Also thought Vermaelen was excellent at LB, didn't really give Downing any chance, which ok isn't that difficult, but still a good performance.

Now lets hope Mile can score a hat-trick tomorrow and do us a favour. Also a nice dress rehearsal on Saturday for the final.

I was reading a piece on ESPN the other day with a wonderful quote in it...
"This is not meant to blame Arsenal's egregious display solely on Sanogo, who to his credit hustled and muscled his way into some promising positions, only to be let down by a touch just a fraction heavier than Mike Tyson's."
