He's the definition of a box to box player :lol: Genuine question, have you seen him play? I have numerous times and I would much rather Arteta as a holding player than him. He's the type of player that can get stuck in (like Ramsey) but they're not holding players which is what we need.

Sydcro will for obvious reasons but a no from me. If we were going in at that price bracket I'd prefer the cheaper Remy considering we already have Giroud who he's barely an upgrade on.

But looking at it realistically he's not worth it with Giroud. Sure he would be a pretty big upgrade on Giroud in terms of his aerial prowess, but we would lose so much of what Giroud offers in link up play, which is much more important imo. Like you said, from a purely head over heart standpoint, Remy or someone like that makes more sense and would be cheaper.

Suker and Eduardo are the only ones I can remember, at least that played any serious first team action. There might be some youth players I'm forgetting about. As for barely using Suker that was mainly because he was going on 31 at that stage and we did have a young Thierry Henry. He did play 39 games that season and did play basically our whole UEFA Cup and Champions League campaign with 13 games so he was used a decent amount, but most of them were off the bench if I remember.

Sociedad's chairman has said that we're in talks with them re; Vela.

The fact we haven't signed him already makes me think Arsene prefers Griezmann and is using Vela as leverage. Maybe Sociedad quoted us a massive price and Arsene said fine we'll take vela back? I could be misreading the situation entirely.

Vela also has to want to come but yeah I do think Griezmann is the preferred target. Wenger has been fapping over him recently on French tv.

The only problem is, if vela doesn't want the move we lose a lot of leverage. I think Griezmann is an arsenal fan though, I saw a video of him playing fifa career mode with arsenal. That doesn't mean everything though.
