Don't worry about what Hicks is saying now. It's the default loser jargon in court cases. Basically he's making such a rattle as to make it clear that he thinks he is still right, and that injustice has been served. If he was to come out and say "Sorry, was wrong, was just trying to make a few bucks" no one would ever take him seriously again. This is what losers do in court, just in case later he figures out a way to sue someone, then he can also pull out that statement from when he lost. Besides, this must have gotten pretty personal between Hicks, RBS and NESV!
Pertinent point!

This suing the club for 1.6bn in damages, if it goes ahead, I get the feeling it's one of those things that's so outrageous you can't not take it incredibly seriously:lol: Like I said, He's trying to construct a case for damages, but it'll take him months, if not years to get it to court, never mind getting a resolution in his favour Not worried about it. He;s just an annoying noise now. it's just another distraction... fuck this is annoying, why can't he just take it and shut up... i've been too excited this week so i'm still rather reserved until i hear Martin

1.57pm: "RBS waiting for receipt of £200m to confirm sale to NESV. Nearly there. Though the legal aftershocks will continue for some time. #LFC," tweets OG again.
I have not seen a thrashing like this since the Man U 1 - 4 Pool!

Update 7:58 a.m.: The judge has ordered: the TRO has been dissolved, per both parties wishes, and the motion for contempt has been withdrawn. The judge summed up the proceedings thusly: "It's been an interesting two days." To say the least. I'll have more quotes forthcoming, but essentially, says George Bramlet, "Hicks and Gillett have demonstrated record of gamesmanship in these proceedings and those in England." Hicks's attorney has reiterated that there has been no sale to Mills Financial

wouldn't go that far, because this has been a struggle with how ridculious it has become... hard to say what it's like wouldn't go as far as Chelsea in the Champions League but something similar

Thank you to RBS for refusing to finance with Mill/Hicks.
Thank you to RBS for appointing Martin Broughton.
Thank you to Lord G for ******** up H&Gs legal team.
Thank you to Judge Jim Jones for eventually seeing the light.
Thank you to to Justice (forgot his name) for awarding us victory in both high court cases.
And a whopping big thank you to Martin Broughton, Christian Purslow and Ian Ayre, aka THE HOME TEAM!!!!

2.04pm: We are now expecting Liverpool to announce NESV as new owners sometime soon. Will there be any more twists and turns? Will the bank get the money in time? Is Hicks's statement some form of subterfuge? And, as Matthew Atkinson points out in an email, the board better make sure that everything is above board and legal, because Hicks will certainly be pursuing this in court...

"Mr Hicks and Mr Gillett wanted to position this club for the future. . . "
That's right, spades in the ground in 60 days. What a pair of deluded idiots. The bitter irony that they entitle their statement 'epic swindle'. The only swindle that has taken place over the past ten days is the underhand, illegal manner these two parasites have been conducting themselves in a desperate attempt to cling onto the shares.
I'm just glad justice has been done and no court in any land will rule in these two clowns favour for ten quid, never mind 1.6 billion.
Congratulations to reds all over the world today. Well done to the London reds for their support outside the courts, well done the US reds for their support in the courts, massive well done to match goers who managed to stay united in the most troubling of times and finally congratulations to all followers of Liverpool football club for proving that unity and dignity will always triumph over scum like these two clowns who've tried to ruin our institution for their own personal gain.
I never wish ill on anyone but I hope the rulings over the last couple of days ruin these two financially so they can never try and attempt a stunt like this again. I wouldn't wish these two on my worst enemy.

Man U have their own Yank parasites already. They just happen to be making a better show of supporting the club than Statler and Waldorf did.

i wouldn't mind seeing them at Old Trafford tbh Very strongly disagree mate. Nobody deserves to have to go through the rollercoaster we just went through. Sure, they are our rivals, but this kind of thing shouldn't be in football at ALL. I sincerely hope that they can rid themselves of their parasites and get a new owner similar to us - for the benefit of football.

Chelsea then considering the ride they had under the early Abromovich years? :p

From Twitter
@Billy**** "NESV lawyer in US court has been in contact with John Henry advising him to put on hold his purchase of the club due to the possible suing."
That seriously worried me, but....
@Billy**** "John Henry has received assurances and the relevant insurance policies to protect against any suing which will not come of anything as Hicks has no case, sale to be confirmed any minute now!"
