Did anyone else notice just before the goal (I think Liverpool had a corner) a coin I think was thrown at Suarez and after appealing he put it in his boot, then he scored with the boot the coin was in. Unfortunately it wasn't counted

Wow. I can't belive there isn't more rage in here. Deadset robbed.
The linesman had the 6 yard line ffs, there is no way that should ever be given offside. What a fuckn joke.

Suarez was lucky even to be on the pitch to be adjudged offside for the winner, it all evens out.

will Liverpool's front 3 be older in the league cup than in the league this week
league lineup: Sterling (17) - Suarez (25) - Suso (18)
league cup: Assaidi (24) - Yesil (i hope at least, 18) - Downing (28)
now I am not saying this is any way unique but normally you think the cup is a chance to let some youngsters play and the league cup lineup in this case has an average age 3.33 years older than the league team and that is with me using Yesil

Well done to Sterling and Shelvey for getting nominated, but the award will either go to Deulofeu or Gotze. Well done boys sterling will be a gun hopefully in the future. Good to get nominated even though I think it will be one out of the players I have left on the list but Sterling can still get nominated for the next 2 years and on current form Suso could get nominated next year. Gotze had the chance to be the first back to back winner but I think he won't win it because he was out with injury for so long.

I don't know how well Deulofeu did but he was playing for barca B and only got 1 first team games, also he still has two years of being able to win it. Gotze was out for injury too much for my liking.

But it's hard not to give it to Gotze. He might have missed serious time last season, but he's still got 22 games to his name this year and he's playing pretty well.

Good on the lads for being nominated, but I think their lack of European football influence will count against them. Most of those guys are playing UCL.

Went looking through the Liverpool forums trying to find how the team lined up and saw this Quote:Daniel Pacheco @dani37pacheco Dissappoint result for the team. Im not injured. Good night. YNWA. not happy about Yesil being picked over him. Loan back to Spain in Jan maybe or transferred I am thinking Anyone see the game the lineup has Carragher, S. Coates and Robinson as the defenders and if that is in a back 3 I can see why 3 goals were conceded even against Swansea. So was Downing a winger or a defender?

Guessing one of the midfielders would have tucked in too provide extra cover. strong bench aswell.. skrtel,Gerrard, suarez, suso, sterling.

I'm guessing Rodgers was just experimenting to see if he could get City's three at the back approach to work.
Nonetheless, disappointing to get dominated by Swansea.

How desperate are we for defensive cover that we're playing Hendo at RB?
