Ideally Suarez will stay and cut the crap out of his game. It would be a shame to lose him.

Might as well cash in and pick up 2 or 3 quality players In what league can you pick up "two or three quality players" for 40m? Certainly we'd struggle to replace Suarez and still turn a significant profit from a 40m deal. According to Liverpool he hasn't expressed any desire to leave to the club, it's all media talk and Suarez has stated he intends to stay with Liverpool. As far as I'm concerned this is more of Madrid's usual dirty, unethical tapping up. I'd say most of them. As Imno pointed out, we don't have to buy a star player, we could find a few good players (such as we've done with Sturridge and Coutinho) for relatively cheap.

If we want to be in Europe, we need that "star" player. Especially with Gerrard reaching the end of his career. A team of squad players doesn't get the job done. That'll just take us back to Gerard Houllier days.

RedKat wrote:Thing is if we sell Suarez for lets say 40 million and buy Muriel for 15million, that gives us 25 million to top up our transfer kitty and improve the quality we could sign for the positions we want such as CB and LB. Muriel isn't a genuine option to 'replace' Suarez. One semi-decent season for Udinese doesn't mean he's a good player. You also have to consider whether having an extra 25m to spend reinforcing the squad is going to actually help us attract better players. I don't think it will. What Suarez brings to the team and the lack of an obvious replacement being available means that selling isn't really an option.

Rumours (key word) of £40m + Xabi for Suarez. FWIW here's my realistic ist of players I want Liverpool to sign this Summer. Eriksen, Papadopolous, Ilori, & Atsu. IMO if we can sign these 4 we'll have added not only depth, but more class. Eriksen & Papa will be some of the best in the world one day. I cannot help but dream of Eriksen & Coutinho playing in behind Sturridge for years to come.. [-o< 4-2-2-2 Reina/GK Johnson - Agger - Papa - Ilori Gerrard - Alonso Eriksen - Coutinho Sturridge-----Atsu Is that even a real formation? still, I'm sure you can see what I'm getting at.

I'm still a Skrtel fan by the way, but is it just me or is one of our CBs always injured?

Eriksen has a lot better clubs after him than Liverpool.

Last time I heard, there were talks of PSG, Dortmund and of course United have been linked in the past. Would be an amazing signing for you guys though, I dont get how Isco can be so hyped up yet Eriksen has seemingly flown under the radar.

Plus Isco's playing in a better league. The only one of those teams where he'd get regular football at is Dortmund.

As nice as it would be to have Alonso back, that would leave us very attacking in midfield. You can't just drop Lucas because you like Alonso.

David Villa is a shadow of his former self. For a mid-table team with some cash to splash he'd be ok. But if we still harbour ambitions of finishing in the top 4 then there's not much point.

He could be a good signing for us. It seems like we're worrying too much about strikers and not the rest of the squad.

Well if were on the way to losing Luis as much as I hate to I don't blame BR looking to fill the place. Benteke is strong he's proved that, 19 from 34 starts, had a great season for Villa, running off Countinho's slick ball work could be good ! Agree afro - I'd love to know when/who we have as Aggers offsider ?! and another quality back for a start. What has happened to the Beast ? was his form that bad late in the season I can't recall or was it hard for he to break back in after injury ? Edited by M.L.: 3/6/2013 03:13:19 PM

Lots of papers today linking us with Henrikh Mkhitaryan. I've never heard of the guy.

It almost looks good. Almost. Why not just let it be all white? That would look sexy as fuck with the red framing.

If the red went all the way down then you could almost keep the black on the side panels as well. But that shit in the middle looks ridiculous. It looks like a training kit or a relic of the early 90's.

The shorts though
Still, 25 million a year is not a bad price to pay for a bad kit.

Shorts are nothing to worry about - just too busy on the front of the shirt.
