By that time City will have made up one of their games in hand and we'll have a better idea of where we stand too. I just had a dream last night where Liverpool lost to Chelsea 2-1, and Suarez did jail time for biting off the referee's finger. My family have kind of had this thing over the years where we've been able to predict major world events in our dreams before they happen, so who knows? That would be disastrous. We're really banking on the fact that Chelsea's main focus is the Champions League and hope that Atletico don't kill the tie off before the second leg.

Haha so we're thrown in with the Kop faithful  Hey they are enjoying the moment but I'm sure like us they are aware it ain't over till the fat lady sings. I'm just happy finally we have become contenders and making CL was my prayers and I'm sure others would feel the same - just as Afro has mentioned this is Liverpool ! Been 24yrs and anything extra will be icing on the cake but none of us are counting our chickens till they've hatched be very silly to do so. BB is just drawing a path to be able to say you blew it :p

It's a great sign when Suarez and Sturridge can both have relatively quiet games, against Man City of all sides, and still walk away with the 3 points. I loved the contrast in Stevie G and BR's post-match interviews- Captain Fantastic was trying to contain his emotions while BR was professional as ever about the game just played. Suarez needs to stay on his feet- BR should have a word in his ear, tell him to calm down and not to go down so readily inside the box, or it could end up working against him. It seemed to be a result of his frustration at not having a bigger impact on a big game- as the match went on he started complaining and trying to milk penalties more than usual. I think between them, BR and Stevie G will make sure the team are well prepared for their visit to Norwich. Both men have enough experience to know that it's especially important to keep their focus and standard of play up at this point in the season after a big win like yesterdays'. Even if they were to go into half-time down to the Canaries, I think this squad has it in them to overturn the deficit. No disrespect to Norwich but I think the Chelsea game in a fortnight will be the definitive match- depending on the Norwich result we either come away with a loss/ draw and BR will hammer it into the team again what an important match the Chelsea game is- in front of our home crowd. Or we beat Norwich and could virtually seal the title with a further win against the rent- if this was the case, we would only need a single point against either Palace or Newcastle to be out of reach for the other teams. Actually ended up going over to my mates' place down in Richmond- a couple of frozen pizzas and a few ciders on a sunny Sunday afternoon watching us take a major step towards winning the League was definitely something to remember! On more than one occasion I had to resist the urge to start singing "We are Liverpool" on the train back into town...

 - all good no matter where us Reds are that game was epic, shame we having to watch through the evening, a bbq ales/cider would have been a nice mix ! I have a long time citeh supporter working for me - took it very well and congratulated me/us on the fine result :) damn glad it went our way. So Hendo out till the last Toon game ? - he'd be so gutted has worked tirelessly, proved many of us doubters wrong over his previous 2yrs this season he's done the job ! Now Allen has to step UP ! Lucas I'm sure will also come in, wonder how BR will play SG the coming games. Sturridge slight hammy tear ? anyone got more on this ?

I do have concerns about Lucas' ability to hit the ground running given that he hasn't played 90 minutes since 12th January.

I'm not worried, when he came on at West Ham he did a terrific job. He's a model professional I'm sure his fitness will be ok.
Even if we fall short now, which would be upsetting, if someone offered me top 3 at the start of the season I would bit their hand off. It's been a great season.
Luis is due a goal or two (or three). Hopefully we can play our game and wipe Norwich off the park. Losing Hendo and Sturridge is certainly a loss but I think we can cope.
Thankfully Stevie managed to avoid a yellow for 3-4 games so now he's got a clean slate (even if he gets booked in all 4 games from now until the end he'll be ok, the mark is 15 now)
Any more injuries and we'll be in trouble. Hopefully Sturridge is back soon. I have a feeling we'll need him against Chelsea. He's been looking a little flat the last few games, he's not made of titanium like Suarez is, probably needs the rest.
Nice early kick off v Norwich as well. Love that.

I'm not concerned about Lucas' fitness as much as his ability to get back to sustained match pace.
I disagree, if we fell short it would be a disaster. We've made it so far this season on being the plucky underdogs. We won't have that advantage next season.

Only game of concern is the Chelsea one. And that's only a concern if Suarez is acting like a fuckknuckle again. -PB

Incredible to think Sterling is only 19. Unbelievable. I don't think he gets enough credit - he's been as important as Luis in the second half of the season especially.
Hopefully Studge is back to play Chelsea, I can see him having a big game there.
I hope Suarez gets his hattrick against Norwich to break the scoring record

Sterling's performance against Man City basically cemented him a World Cup place.

He was going to be in the squad regardless of his end of season performances.

Milner/Welbeck/Lallana cam play wide but don't do so naturally. Jay Rod would have probably been in the squad also until his injury. I'm sure Townsend will also get a look in for 90 minutes of good football all season

Well another piece into the puzzle - citeh played no Silva and obviously no Toure, Nasri stepped in as play maker ? missed a sitter on his left foot with minutes to go for the winner ! :d Aguero started up till 60th min. Must beat Canaries I'm edgy now 8-[ but can't wait to watch ! News Sturridge sounding ok ?

Just reading that he could even make the bench v Norwich.
LFC posted Sturridge has since undergone further assessment with the club's medical team at Melwood and a small strain was detected following a scan.
The 24-year-old will now undergo a treatment programme in order to try and be available for the trip to Carrow Road.
Probably keep him on the bench v Norwich, bring him on if we need him and then unleash v Chelsea :)
