As much as I wanted to throw the book at him, banning him from all forms of training is just flat out stupid. That should be up to the club, not FIFA.

I think saying Liverpool is being punished is looking at it the wrong way. Suarez is being punished by not being allowed to play Football. Liverpool are just an unlucky bystander in this, but fact is, lie with dogs and you get fleas.

Yeah, you wouldn't be feeling hard done by if Iago Aspas had bitten someone would you? It only feels like a punishment for Liverpool because the guy scored 30+ goals last year. You can only blame Suarez for giving FIFA the opportunity to throw the book at him.

He's had more assault charges than I've had hot dinners. By all means ban him from playing, ban him from representing his country, but to ban him from training with the club is way too far.

Agreed with all of that, it's a shame he's such an amazing footballer because it makes it hard for Liverpool and their supporters to not stand by him, but FFS if a United player had a history and mentality like Suarez I wouldn't want him at the club, I wouldn't even want him tarnishing the reputation of the league. Cantona is my favourite player and he had a high profile incident that brought the club into disrepute but we stood by him, because his commitment and character were never in doubt. But Suarez has now bit someone THREE times, how the impulse to bite strikes a kid over the age of 7 let alone a grown man not under the influence of bath salts is beyond logic, the guy is an animal. He continually brings the game into disrepute and despite Liverpool's honourable attempts to stand by their man he treats them like shit, throwing a tantrum last season and demanding out, and has now publicly contradicted the behavioural assurances of two managers (in regards to the Evra handshake, and BR's recent comments about his post Ivanovic maturity). Honestly I'm not trying to have a dig and start a shitfight but I just can't comprehend how Liverpool can stand by him, no doubt he's one one of the top players in the world but how much longer can that excuse his massive character liabilities, especially for a club as prestigious as Liverpool?

If he delivers and more $26m won't seem so much  english players paying a premium. Like the look of Erme Can - strong 6'1 young a very good mid versatile buy. So thats 3 incl Lambert - hope some new backs are coming.

Sanchez would be an amazing capture if you sign him. Talking to Imno- Sanchez+50mil to buy some good defenders and you'll have improved your first 11.

Well IF Barca really want to pursue Luis though then the part swap could be a possibility. Release clause is $70-80m lbs as long as Sanchez is happy coming to epl ? Backs please very soon I hope. Edited by M.L.: 2/7/2014 11:59:19 AM
