Benteke is a cheating piece of shit, what an absolute disgrace. Defender pulled out of the challenge and his leg/knee was like a foot away from Benteke's heel and he went down. >Liverpool >scum Shocking revelation.

I'm far from a Liverpool fan, but that was 100% a penalty.
Clear contact - it even moved his foot it had enough force ffs

I actually thought omg its a dive even after replays but having seen from behind it sure was. Good on Benteke very well taken pen under the circumstances of his game since being with us. I really hope its just first season blues and Klopp has him firing in the future. We sure are building under him, you can see the improvements. FFS even Lovren had another really strong game today. Skrtel yet to return, Studge yet to get more game time - be great to finish well these last rounds.

Benteke did excellently to 'earn' that penalty.

Ha.
Yeah, it's a pen. It's minimal contact but fact is there is contact and in real time I thought it was 100% penalty, it looked like it. Daft from Delaney
We looked 10x better after going to 10 (and Coutinho coming on)
I thought Can and Lovren were outstanding.
Now to United...

Can is getting better and better - some of his footwork was great to see through traffic. Covers ground - I mentioned before when he's on he's a Beast and he's still got more to improve on.

haha, parking the bus doesn't suit us nor have we the quality to back it up yet, mind you defense is improving but set pieces would be a major concern in the return leg. They have one x factor over us and whoever they verse, DeGea, - from reports without him again today the score would have been more, how many times has this been said. Skrtl off the bench for the return leg ?? We sure have gained some momentum at the right time despite the huge schedule the last month and half, very nice to see.

Here's a reply from a friends perspective who's a united supporter "Good result this morning - means the Special One arrives as planned to rescue the sinking ship. Also keeps the Hammers out of the top four." seriously they are classic supporters you just wouldn't want.

United fans wanting Mourinho at their club makes me think of the old proverb "Be careful what you wish for- you might just get it"...

And then he completely implodes the next season or two leaving the club in a worse position than when he joined. He lost the dressing rooms at both his stint at Real Madrid and Chelsea due to extremely poor man management, who in their right mind would publicly accuse his players of "betrayal." How can such a man who is shite a man management take United under his wing and guide them back as a force? I completely agree with you, I wouldn't want the scumbag anywhere near any club I supported, but it's easy to see why people might want him.

Yep good question. So many variables come into play nowadays. I would think a 3-5yrs max should be expected from a stable club environment but we know that can change within a year or less depending the club/table standing just as mourinhos case. I actually wonder what Klopps window is from his point of view - and IF he's offered a golden pot from elsewhere come mid next season would he stay or go. Nothing is forever nowadays - once Wenger is gone at top level long term gaffas are a thing of the past, one day they'll see chopping and changing isn't the answer either.

Anyone but Dortmund plz. Us vs Dortmund final is the dream Yep. This is probably the best batch of final 8 that the UL has had for a while now. Some pretty decent names in there.

Edited by Captain Haddock: 11/3/2016 11:06:26 AM Job done, out of EU. LVG, well maybe the weekend derby may tighten the noose but tbh I hope they stick by him. Well what a leg coming up for us vsing Klopp's ex club. This is going to be huge - they maybe better at this stage but our boys are going to really step up for the Gaffa I'm guessing, I know I would in their position. This is going to be an awesome leg. The atmosphere at both grounds electric. Every game now looks must win, in the league I'm sure Koeman will have them fired up from the 6-1 we gave them last.

LFC. wrote:I watched 1st half, couldn't believe we were 2 up tbh, fell alseep checked scores this morn and WTF happened  Lovren came off at half time and was replaced by Skrtel. Don't know why, he better have had an injury because Skrtel was horrible and we lost control of the game. Also, Clyne was played at left back and was nowhere near as effective as he is on the right, not sure why he puts Clyne on the left when Flanno has been great there in the past. Bentekke missed a golden chance to make it 3-0 but we had a few chances to do that in the first half and also before he came on, so not totally his fault. having said that, we look useless upfront when he is on.

Thanks Pr1mo. Yer I recall 1st half we had a couple of one on one's that it should have been 3 before HT. I recall Lovren getting a yellow mid 1st, maybe why so he put Skrtl on ?? christ he hasn't had a game in what 2mths or so. One of their forwards was pretty quick - hence Lovren yellow, so he would have had good chance against Skrtl I expect. Flanno was Captain for the day and he pulled him off as well ? strange move Clyne to LB. So who went RB ? oh well I'll watch the reply expecting the worst.

Flanno started and played the whole game at RB, not his best performance either.

Well I think we can say top 4 is definitely out of reach now.
The best thing left in the season will be the home and away tie with Dortmund....
Hopefully we release Skrtel, Ilori and Toure at the end of the season. Next season I'd prefer to see more minutes for Sakho, Matip, Lovren and young Joe Gomez.

Re Top 4 - right now I'd have to agree..........but you see here's the thing as we know its football. Expect the unexpected etcetc. Our run to the finish is Spurs Stoke B/mouth Toffees Swans Watford Brom As Klopp would say - play as we did in the 1st half against South or as against united all those games above are winnable. Yes we know its not that simple lol....then results may, just may go our way again say 3games down the track. Who knows - just day before yesterday united were dead man walking - fluke the win and other results look back in there. Never say never - yet. Mmm, not sure about Skrtl, yes he's had his ups and down but I favour him more than Sakho for eg. Agree Matip hopefully will stamp himself as the leader in due course. Young Gomez - look forward to his return for next season, big plus I expect, pity we lost him for this one.
