FFS !
Not taking chances hurt, Mane,Milner Salah couldn't deliver the crucial away goal.
I feel Klopp errored starting up Gomez, TAA running down the right whipping cross's over was missed greatly for Salah had one of those games when needed didn't deliver, our right side was not effective enough.
Losing Naby early took away more creativity.
Despite that we enjoyed much possesion but didn't play our own game enough with pace.
Suited Barca very much.
Can't take away their counter goals well played and Messi's spot kick was superb knew that was going to happen when lining up.
It is what it is, mountain too high to climb now.

Ah ok.
We need to bolster the bench quality as good as city imo......,
We don't have good enough LB/RB backups.
As good as TAA/Robbo is they really don't have pressure for their spots - shift Moreno off the books.
Loaning out Clyne was wrong call imo for one, we can't keep having Milly or Gomez backing up.
Milly is getting on god love him and Gomez is really our preferred VVD partner.
I reckon were still missing a creative/scoring AM like Coutinho, Naby is starting to step up but we need another for I'd move on Lallana.
Not sure why he isn't using Shaq a bit more but he has some x factor but I guess Ox will step back up again next season.
Got enough workhorse mids with Hendo/Fabinho/Wijnaldum/Milner.
Front, well as much as the 3 amigos have been brilliant we still need an out and out striker imo, Origi/Studz got to go, you could see what Suarez did today, damaging front man. Think Aguero/Kane types as well.
IF we had a true in form striker it would just compliment Mane/Salah/Bobbys skill.
So all up 2-3 more quality players to compliment the project and win next season :)

Hey I wouldn't say no but not sure were going to spend much through the summer.

Just wow LFC, what a bounce back and Toon outcome.
Still no Firmino, Stugde on pointman.
Overall he done well but Salah coming off due to head clash really changed the game.
Origi on, Shaq for Wjnaldum Milly for Lovren.
We sure were patient and Toons were throwing everything into it and why not.
2-2 with 15 to go anybodies game tbh.
Were running on adrenaline - Fabino front right 3rd plays for a free, he gets it, it wasn't but we'll take it.
VVD calls out no TAA Shaq to take it, sends in a peach of a in swinger and Origi meets it gets a glance but also a toon defender got some touch as well I reckon but goes into top right 3-2 Pool with injury time to play.
How tense it was was stressing BUT Bravo fellas what ticker you all have forcing the title going to the last game unless the incredible happens.
Funny Barca lost 2nil, wonder how many were rested but tbh not fussed now, I can't see us doing the impossible in the CL but what a season LFC, been amazing.

not a bad read

yes I had hope.
TBH Fox's done really well, city lifted the 2nd but they couldn't break through via the usual suspects, 70th min Kompany of all people finds himself in some space just out of the box and nails a swinging pile driver top right corner, un savable thats football.
Then they were hanging on, Fox's hand a chance to level but shot was wayward.
It is how it is but wow going to the last game we have done brilliant under the circumstances.
Now I'm rooting for our own Matt Ryan next week keeping a clean sheet !??????????? and hopefully we get the result vsing Wolves at home.

I really don't get some of the comments I've been seeing on the reddit thread for this game from LFC flairs. The misery and the despair. The comments from people on some Fb pages (usually with African or Middle Eastern names) has been laughable too.

Neither do I subscribe to this view that LFC are unlucky or "cursed". If City win on the weekend, they finish with 98 points. If LFC got that last season, they'd still finish second to City's 100. This is a squad that, in the past 2 seasons, have amassed 198 points out of a possible 228, provided they win against Brighton. To potentially finish on 97 points with a single loss back in January isn't "bottling" anything. Neither is inheriting a 7 point lead with your next game against that team and a potential 6 point swing in the title race depending upon the result. I took a look at Arsenal's "invincibles"- and between NYD and the end of the 2003/04 season, even they dropped double the points City have so far.

This is the first time I can remember an LFC team legitimately taking the title race to the last day. In 2014 City had to lose at home to West Ham and LFC had to win to claim the title. This time, City only need to draw with Brighton and as long as LFC beat Wolves, the title would come home to Anfield.

You might remember 12 months ago I talked about that dream I had of seeing a fan-made "LFC- road to the CL Final" highlights video back around the group stages, long before they actually made the final in Kiev. Sometime last year- might have been at the very start of the season or even before- I don't quite remember- I had a dream where I was outside a football stadium full of fans and there was a team in vertical blue and white stripes playing. I don't know who they were playing, but I felt this anticipation and anxiousness about the game and then I walked off along a cobblestone street (like a street in an old UK town). This weekend, City are away to Brighton- who wear vertical blue and white stripes...

yer if only Maddison :(  but also this :
https://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/iheanacho-should-score-rodgers-rues-ex-city-striker-s-miss

Oh well next we have CL back at Anfield and how huge this is.
Despite us being on the back foot on the scoreboard and Salah/Bobby out I'm excited as just purely on the base's were playing were as how many are not.
Yer were up against it, legs could be weary But our Ticker is huge and as long as I see our lads giving it all I'll be proud.
Lovren quoted the other day they are angry, I like this and I think we will be.
There is going to be a lot of animosity building up - some ex players have really dug into Suarez on his behavior last leg.
Some are saying to bate him to get him sent off lol.....not impossible.
He's quoted he won't celebrate if he scores - friggin hope not anyway.
I'm expecting Studge/Origi/Mane up front for thats all we've got - all to play for just go for it fellas, IF we can break through early they will be looking over their backs, then again Messi could turn out the lights before we know it lol......

I keep saying saying what a season LFC.

:w00t::laugh::P:D:laugh::w00t:

I watched Instanbul and I'll never forget it obviously actually winning it BUT FFS words can't describe what I watched this morning !
Barca, bloody Barca 3up and one of the best we've seen Messi and all they needed was a goal to pretty much make the Final BUT WOW this group of LFC players are fucken amazing !
Klopp may not have much silver ware but how he has our guys playing for each other is what makes you love the game.....
and we think our bench needs improving and look what they have done to one of the best Spanish teams - we should have got an away goal for we did play over them some but today we played them off the park.
NO Bobby. NO Salah, Robbo subbed @ HT.
Every single player had a hand doing the miracle !
Notables, Allison, worth every single bloody cent, saves were surblind x 5, VVD ! Matip.
Fabinho, ordinary game against the Toons and today he stood up and beasted the middle, to the point that Vidal got subbed.
Hendo, hand it to him, a machine and should have scored but for Origi doing just as Messi did last week, followed up right place right time in the net !
Origi, what a role he has played - Thankyou thankyou thankyou.
Georginio - OMG what a role played once on, talk about IMPACT, did you know his 54-56min goals were the same as Instanbul recovery - ironic, Legendary.
TAA, 20yrs young and what a brain this kid has and maturity, Scouse Legend already for me.
Shaqiri, his left foot cross's are perfecto once again delivers.
Hope Robbo is fine for the weekend but tbh he could rest and we throw Gomez at LB or Milly.
Mr Klopp, you have built up a wonderful squad and your attitude is brilliant, the smiles, the drive ambition are just what this team shows.
CL Final here we come, not since 02 from memory have an English club made 2 Finals in a row and that was United, how sweet it is.

There's no curse, its just how it goes.
My only bottling thought would be IF we lose or draw to Wolves and Ryan does the miracle for us keeping a clean sheet holy shit !

If you'd seen my face this morning at F/T and knew nothing about the game, you'd have thought LFC had been knocked out by an injury time Suarez/ Coutinho worldie...

Tears in my eyes, letting out long, deep breaths. That last 10 minutes was agonising. But even if they HAD lost this morning, to have got 3-0 up against Barca I would've been massively proud of how they played. This is a team with incredible self-belief, and they're a team going places. 12 months ago, walking out of Star City after the CL Final loss to Real Madrid, I felt bittersweet and wondering if this would be our "peak" under Klopp. But here we are- breathing right down City's neck up to the final day of the league season, and into a second consecutive CL Final where LFC are going to be warm favourites.

This was a European Cup night to remember- the greatest one since Istanbul, hands down. To see the crowd after the match and how the players responded, to do that job on Barca without Mo or Firminho...holy shit. Maybe this is another one of these dreams I have and I'll wake up shortly? I always thought coming back from 0-3 down was possible- but to do it in that fashion, to completely shut out a quality Barca side like that with their own demons to banish in recent CL campaigns...to paraphrase the Barca motto: It's quite a club!

There are only two intellectually honest debate tactics: (a) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s facts, or (b) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s logic. All other debate tactics are intellectually dishonest - John T. Reed

here here........
I was msging back and forth with a group of LFC friends, I have no shame in saying I was crying as was my friends.
This is as big as Instanbul - not a Final but it was to get there, I had my doubts earlier in the week but the more I kept reading LFC players quotes and Lovrens more than anything saying "they were anrgy/hungry" really stuck to me and I knew looking back on the Toon late win I sure expected us giving it to them no matter the end result, as long as they did me proud, this team I bow to them.
Never say die.
Origi quoted after the game, Robbo being the fighter and having to come off could have impacted the team, he was suffering cramp later in the game but they stuck to their guns.
Our Anfield support was ahuge 12man, he quotes you could feel it, obviously hear it, Unbelievable.
I was in my lounge singing YNWA with them all at the end as I'm sure many were as well.

I'm in a zone right now that whatever happens this weekend doesn't matter, as Klopp says just keep winning what more can we do, if its not meant to be so be it for we have another chance (whilst everyones season is over but our Final opponent for the biggest Trophy ) now and with the time for players to recover we will be so ready for the Madrid Final I can't wait.

Might see you at the Star.

Look, I'm guilty re Origi and he has delivered when needed no doubt about it x 3 games from memory and being understudy to our main front 3 would be hard to take but hence our POV's, he sure has stamped his mark this season with limited opportunities good luck to him.
I would expect Klopp maybe be reconsidering his thoughts, we shall see.

On whether he knew his players were capable ofoverturning the score…How can you be sure before a game? I said to the boys, ‘I think it’s impossible but because it’s you we have a chance.’ And we believed in this chance. We didn’t compare it with Istanbul or whatever. We said from the beginning, we want to create our own history –not because we are not happy about having the history of the club, no, because we need new chapters obviously. And the boys did it already, that’s unbelievable.I know what people say about me and losing finals, that’s absolutely right and OK and everything. But it’s the fourth final in that time as well we are in, that’s pretty special already.Last year we really felt we have to go back – we have to go back, we cannot let it stand like this, that’s not possible. Now we get another chance and we will go for that, of course. I’m not sure if it will happen again because it’s so special. When I saw the boys after the game and saw the tears in their eyes, that’s football and they are professionals and it’s still like this. This club touches you like crazy, it’s like you feel much more than others in these moments. It’s really great, I love it.

I totally agree with you. This game was truly magnificent. Nakonts something Liverpool pulled ahead! I am very happy. In addition, this is my favorite team, and I made a bet on it. She was winning! I could not believe my happiness! I bet on this site https://fscore-bd.com/ (there are good conditions here). Therefore, guys, always fight to the last, believe in the best and place your bets!

It was last year from memory so I think so but don't hold me to it.

So, Spurs have also done the miracle and their 1st ever appearance, congrats to them - all EPL Finale.
Bring it on.

This is the peak banter era CL Final.

Both Manchester fan bases and Evertonians will be going "Please win Spurs- otherwise life will be unbearable!"

Meanwhile Chelsea, Arsenal and West Ham fans will be going "Please Liverpool you HAVE to win this- otherwise we won't hear the end of this for the next 50 years!"

There are only two intellectually honest debate tactics: (a) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s facts, or (b) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s logic. All other debate tactics are intellectually dishonest - John T. Reed
