Dejan Lovren would be a handy back-up and bring something to the team for sure. And for the price that was being talked about, bargain.

Downing for 19m would surely be the biggest waste of money this transfer window.

Cissokho looks like a promising alternative to Johnson at LB.

I keep reading more and more about Cissokho.. I must say I'd be very pleased if we got him.

So Jordan Henderson has officially been given the no. 14 Jersey. Previous no. 14's include Jan Molby and Xabi Alonso. Hopefully he's as successful as both of them and doesn't suffer the injuries that Vegard Heggem did in the jersey.

From what I saw last season, he was your shining light. In your 3v1 win against us at Anfield, it wasn't Kuyt, it wasn't Suarez who killed us, it was Meireles. We couldn't deal with his power through midfield. This would make no sense at all. As much as I like to see you guys fail in the transfer market, I would be kind of sad to see him go, he is one player that is able to make Liverpool competitive again.
