Also, take a look at Baby Darling Doll Face Honey - Band of Skulls.
Also, check out Electric Mary if you haven't already.

It's a very old school, heavy rock sound. Very cool.

I jumped onto Blabbermouth this morning and i was left speechless by the news and by the barrage of articles about his passing. Absolutely love this band. "World Coming Down", one of the great, metal/doom/goth records ever created!

So I've been expanding my Punk and hardcore collection of late and I've been getting in to some old school sXe. Is anyone on here Edge or able to help me expand my knowledge of the scene as well as some good modern groups.

Naturally I'm down with Minor Threat but any other groups would be good.

Presented by Collateral Manage and Afends.

New Jersey quintet SENSES FAIL are set to tour Australia this August 2010, fresh out of the studio with producer Brian McTernan (Thrice, Circa Survive). The band’s long-awaited return will happen nearly 7 years after their first visit when they performed on the Taste of Chaos tour.

Senses Fail will be performing songs from their entire catalog, including their most recent Vagrant Records release ‘Life is Not a Waiting Room’, which came out in October of 2008.

7 Australian dates, 5 eager members, and a brand new live DVD scheduled to hit stores later in the year (details to come); this tour will (ably?) lively demonstrate all of the passion and fury the post-hardcore band is renown for serving.

"Kasabian conjures the ghosts of Brit rock titans for one of the decade’s most thrilling and memorable live experiences" - Channel [V]

Ounce for ounce, KASABIAN are the most exciting British rock band of this decade.

Whether playing a secret show in a small pub in Ireland, The Glastonbury Festival or working a sold out Wembley Stadium, they come, they conquer and always metaphorically (and sometimes physically) destroy all that come before them.

Few successful bands would take the risks KASABIAN have taken with their new album, ‘West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum’; and fewer still could manage to come up with such stunning results. “We are just starting to realise how amazing ‘West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum’ really is.” - NME

They’re cocky, cool, and here to rule so bow down before the kings of indie rock swagger as they tour Australia throughout July.

Kasabian gig should be a good one.

Checking out a band called Band of Skulls, very early Led Zeppelin kind of sound, a little more funk oriented though and a really cool sound.

I just realised that TISM foretold the death of Michael Jackson in their song "Ol Man River".

I drank the slab that Bon Scott drunk;
I injected some of Hendrix's junk;
I booked a seat on Lynyrd Skynyrd's plane;
Mama Cass's sandwich? Ate the same.

Now I'm bored,
Now I'm bored,
Now I'm bored there's no stopping.

Now I'm bored and there's no stopping;
I need another celeb to fill a coffin;
Where'll I get my next drug action?
Odds on it'll be Michael Jackson.

I'm on the drug,
I'm on the drug,
I'm on the drug that killed River Phoenix.

Quite the awesome.
