Heard a song which was awesome, definitely no-one on here's cup of tea, but its the old heart warming song.
Teddy Bear - Red Sovine - About a crippled kid who contacts a truck driver on his CB. Mate...it's a brilliant song

Downloaded the Deadsy discography - on the 'to listen to' list. Sounds promising from what I've heard.

Just ripped all my CD's that I don't have backups of to the computer....almost 40 albums and over 400 tracks later...I really wish I could put them on my HDD but my external HDD is being gay.

Breed 77 - Remember That Day Pretty cool. Like a non shit version of Ill Nino.
Is it just me, or has this year had very little to compare to last year in terms of album releases? Looking at it in terms of Big Names and Quality, there really hasn't been much this year so far? Or have I missed some good releases? So far all I've heard is; Fear Factory - Mechanize Dillinger - Option Paralysis Periphery - Periphery Daysend - Within the Eyes of Chaos Bleeding Through - Bleeding Through High on Fire - Snakes on the Devine
Was last year just so awesome it's hard for this year to live up to it? Or is it something else? What are some releases people are looking forward to?

Very true, last year is killing this years. Deftones my favourite of the year thus far, followed by Daysend.
I am keen to hear Soulfly and Godsmacks new albums that come out tomorrow. Very eager to hear Soilwork which comes next month. Not too much else I've heard of yet.

Just remembered Parkway's new album comes out this year, that could be our saviour. Soulfly and Soilwork should also be good records. BFMV and Heaven Shall Burn too. Some good names, but I still can't see it being as big as last year.

Nico, or anyone for that matter, are you a Black Daliah Murder fan? I've heard heaps about them, but have never really given them the time of day. Best place to start?

Have you metal kids heard of a French dude/band/thing called Alcest? It's like metal-shoegaze hybridized. He put out this album a couple of years ago now which I still listen to regularly, "Souvenirs D'un Autre Monde", and just put out a new one, "Escailles De Lune" which is freakin' awesome as well.

Anyone know the price for the Metallica Sydney concert? Expect someone to say "hurr hurr derp $300 cos' they're wankers derp derp"
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Hasn't been released, but I'd say it'll be about 150 for GA, Slightly less for standing.

What a fucking rip off if that's true. No way is anyone good enough to be able to charge $400 for a ticket. Edited by sydneycroatia58: 3/5/2010 06:36:27 PM

Don't think it is another site I just found has them at $130-$150. Although it would be pretty funny to see peoples reactions if they were $400:lol: Acer Arena website has GA Standing at $150, Gold Reserved Seating at $150 and Silver reserved Seating at $130 http://www.acerarena.com.au/default.asp?flash=1&p=14&e=319Pre Sale starts 11th may at 12pm and ends at 5pm the next day. They're charging 90 Euros for the european leg of the tour. So expect in excess of 150 in Melbourne.

What? No I meant the same as Sydney, etc. Sydney is 130 - 150, it'll be the same in melbourne.

That depends entirely on the cost of the venue, and Rod Laver isn't exactly cheap.
Take whatever price Manson tickets were and add 50%.

I've never seen any discrepancies between the two venues that would suggest Acer is Cheaper than Rod Laver. Or have any difference...
