Van Halen are awesome.
So everyone has been saying Metallica have been awesome, and I'm starting to regret not going.

Most of the people saying Metallica were awesome are people who are hardly concert officianardos. The Metallica fans I've heard from said it was 'good'.

Meh, as a person whose never seen Metallica, it'll probably rate as going from good to great because of that. Will pick up tickets for the Nov show if there's some available in a week or two.

Six60 - Don't Forget Your Roots, and Six60 - Choice of the Chosen.
While many of the people in this forum probably hate this sort of music, you can't deny that the thumping bass and general instrumental skill make them a treat live. Also, the fact that they aren't famous-famous means you can get a ticket for a 20. New Zealand music at its best.
Bring on summer!

Trent Reznor did the soundtrack for the film The Social Network, and while I have no doubt that the movie will suck wang, I'm checking out the soundtrack and it's definitely interesting sounding. Very much a continuation of where he left off with Ghosts.

Bought an Avneged Sevenfold album, and a Ministry of Sound album for $10 each the other day. Store closing down ftw.

Sure I have an MP3 player and I down load the occassional album but I love my massively inconvenient CD and Record Collection. Wouldn't have my music any other way. Picked up bowling for Soup Goes to the movies for $5 second hand today. Pretty okay, mainly got it for Five O'Clock World. I love the Drew Carey, my life is starting to resemble it more and more each day.

I love the Drew Carey, my life is starting to resemble it more and more each day. You've misunderstood me, I have a large number of CD's as well. But the thing is, record sales figures are down significantly in the last 5 years (to some 10% of what they were) and now the focus is on electronic distribution things like Discount Sales of CD's are fast becomming a thing of the past. I love the word "SALE" out the front of a record store as much as the next guy and I'll probably go in there and buy half a dozen albums if not more. I love spending half an hour o an hour in JB just flicking through the CD's. But the thing is, there's no money in this format for record companies anymore because of production costs. Physical media is a dead media today. Light and electronic media have usurped them and records, cd's and dvd's are a dead format.
