Benjo wrote:Finally got around to listening to A Thousand Sons. Wish I hadn't. So disappointing. I'd take Minutes to midnight over it. i only really liked Blackout, Wrenches and Kings, The Messenger and The Catalyst. The latter is by far the best song on the album. I didn't realy like The Catalyst. The whole album smacks of Mutemath. I didn't mind Burning In The Skies but my favourite tracks would have been When They Come For Me and Wrenches and Kings. It's not a BAD album, it's just not what we expect from Linkin Park and they've tried reinventing themselves again and it hasn't worked out.

I've pretty much given up on Linkin Park. They've said themselves they're never going back to Hybrid Theory, and anything else they try to do, there's lots of other bands doing a thousand times better. Thanks for the Memories and all, but they mean shti all to me now. Still shattered I never saw them live in their Hybrid Theory/Meteora days.
The Devil Wears Prada - Outnumbered
Their Zombie EP is awesome, faster, thrashier, less deathcore to it. Hopefully they keep going like this.

Quote:Elle Macpherson inspiration behind Billy Joel song Uptown Girl From: The Daily Telegraph November 10, 2010 A new book claims Elle Macpherson was the muse behind the song Uptown Girl. Source: The Daily Telegraph A NEW book has sensationally claimed that the muse behind Billy Joel's hit song Uptown Girl is not Christie Brinkley but Elle Macpherson. While Joel has forever hinted that Brinkley - who went on to marry the singer - was the chick in the white bread world, the recently released book The Girl In The Song says quite the contrary. Authors Michael Heatley and Frank Hopkinson said Joel penned the tune as he courted The Body. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/entertainment/confidential/elle-mcpherson-inspiration-behind-billy-joel-song-uptown-girl/story-e6frf96o-1225950981830

Anyone else heard of, or sick of the song 'Like a G6'. I've heard some good techno songs but FMD it is so incredibly repetitive and annoying. Not to mention the video clip with some Asian gangstaz acting they have all the bitchz and moni Holy Wars - Megadeth. My fave song of theirs

Metallica last night. Just wow. I wasn't expecting much, but they just blew me away. James' voice actually sounds pretty fucking awesome in the flesh. They were tight as fuck, and they use the 'in the round' so well. Setlist was epic. Would have died if I didnt hear one of Creeping Death or For Whom the Bell Tolls, so glad they played one of them (Creeping Death). But FMD. Orion, which led into One, which led into Puppets, which led into Battery. Greatest 30 minutes of my life.
Lamb of God were pretty good. You could tell they were getting lost on the Round stage though. Spent most of the night either on one side or the other, never spread out. Only caught Baroness' last song. Probably equal with Alestorm for best gig of my life.

When Hetfield started The Memory Remains, it was to our corner.
