Just downloaded The Offspring's Days Go By. Also downloaded Handwritten by the Gaslight anthem, very keen to hear that after I've read a number of good reviews of it.

Bad news; both these albums suck.

Weird, heard the new Gaslight Anthem one was meant to be really good. The Offspring one isn't bad, recquires a couple more listenings to before I can decide what i think of it.

Also, new Muse song released tomorrow.

The Guardian and Spin Mag panned it pretty hard. Allmusic gave it a pretty good review though.

I don't remember whether Gaslight was one of the bands Maxi told me to check out or not :-k

Well.....i can safely rule Muse's new album off my "To Listen To" list.

Sat down and listened to The Flood by Of Mice & Men yesterday, fucking sick album. Fully keen for them at SW now.

Handwritten is one of the best albums out this year. Can't see why anyone has panned it.

And yes, they were one of the bands.

Well that's one of the stupidest articles I've ever read and two minutes of my life I'll never get back.

That track is outright terrible.

I have not gotten into a track on first listening as much as this for a while. The singer is a bit odd, but he grows on you.

Fuck I love me some Epic Power Metal. Googled them, turns out they're Japanese. I think that explains the vocalist, almost sounds like he's learnt to sing in english by just listening to a bunch of European power metal :lol:

Aye, they're one of the better Japanese acts around, bloody good in their live stuff too.

Boris and Dir En Grey are still the best japanese acts around.

New Gallows is interesting. I think it's going to take me time. New Amity sounds like Amity, which is all I really wanted from them.
