BDO turned pretty terrible last few years. Was less and less about the music every year that went on, particularly when the music crowd went to Soundwave instead. Remember seeing one of the worst shows in my life watching Mastodon as no one there gave a shit about who they were. Remember one of the band members saying "more like lame day out" or something. Speaking of Mastodon though, the new stuff is their best since Crack the Skye. Loving it.

New Linkin Park album is excellent. Really loving it. So good to hear them get back to aggressive, guitar-driven music. And to hear Chester scream again.

Whilst I like the idea, this means that I'll need more than 1 day off from the wife or risk missing half the bands I want to see. Or worse have to buy the two day ticket and find out I only need the one day.
Maybe I'll just wait for ssideshows instead.

Considering two day tickets are limited, I don't imagine you'd have much trouble selling one and purchasing a one day ticket instead if need be.

My biggest issue is that metal kids are generally pretty unhygienic to begin with and it's a pretty gross and smelly crowd after one day. After two days is going to be much worse :lol:

Also, how badly is this going to cut into sideshows? Like, if a band are playing in Melbourne on Saturday and then Adelaide on Sunday they're surely not going to travel back to Melbourne during the week for a sideshow.

It won't change sideshows in Sydney, we're usually a Sunday anyway so Sideshows go on all week before they head off to Perth (RIP) and RAdalaide. Possible pick up for Brisbane not being the Saturday before Sydney too.

They're not making it a camping festival type thing. You jsut go home after day 1 and come back the next day. The type of person who doesn't shower in between days, is the type of person who wouldn't have showered in the first place, so I don't think it'll be any worse than normal :lol:.

Also from memory, bands had to go back and forth heaps during the sidewave week anyway. I doubt they'd make nay changes that were going to greatly effect that part of the tour.

Yeah, but when they wouldn't have showered any way I don't normally have to deal with their BO the day after they've been sweating and gross at a festival all day.
