I never really got into Iron Maiden either, but I do appreciate their contribution to the modern music scene as it stands.

I bought Soilwork's Sworn To A Great Divide today, It's very good technically. But I'm not sure about the quality of the recording. There seems to be a bit of unnecessary hiss in it. But then, I guess that's to be expected from a studio in Helsignborg. The vocals are top notch, Intersting to see they were recorded in Devin Townsend's studio.

Harsh tbh. those flaws are all there, but once you get past that, they've written some top-notch songs, with quality songwriting, musicianship(Lars aside) and a lot of the flair from their older albums. Try downloading a copy of the Guitar Hero Mix, It sounds a hell of a lot better, meaning you can enjoy the music a lot more.

I might just download that program that breaks songs into individual trackings and mix it all myself, that way I can get it the way I like it...use a parametric EQ rather than a fucking graphic EQ#-o

Hey, I didn't say I didn't like them, just that I wasn't as into them as I am with some other bands. I would certainly rate them up there with a lot of the top bands, but I just dont' have enough of their music to give a really detailed commentary on their music either.

What is with rappers naming songs after aftican countries they couldn't locate on a map, let alone ever have been to. "Diamonds from Sierra Leone", "senegal"...

Akon is from Senegal (i think) so who cares.

And yeah he has a different sound, but it's very boring now - the whole electronic-breaking-voice thing.

Almost everybody in the charts uses autotune now.

I was listening to Rhianna's music properly when I had a dead game the other night and her voice sounds so metallic because of the autotune it's terrible.

And Britney Spears' latest album's engineers deserve some kind of medal for the ammount of work they've put in to make her album sound good.

I might have to find be a bootleg copy of that versio of Autotune...it looks pretty good.

I made one ages ago that was 160000x160000 and it was like 250mb. It'd take like 25 minutes to load.

Fuck that. Way to pointlessly chew through downloads and bandwidth...

I cancelled it halfway through saving it. Just saving it took ages. I never got to uploading or anything.

Waste of HDD space too, that's atleast 3 if not 5 albums.
