So I was at work this weekend when I realised that in 2004 Eric Prydz single-handedly defended the invention of Lycra some 45 years earlier...

Just picked up two Tragically Hip albums from the local Salvos store for $2 each. trouble in the Henhouse and live between us.
Is there anything better than finding quality bands discarded by some foolish dead persons family? i pick up a lot of good LP's this way.

What is it about American Idiot that you prefer it to Nimrod?

Hard to explain, really. I just prefer it. AI came out at a time when I was just really getting into music and it was exactly the type I was getting into. Nimrod is without doubt one of my favourite pop-punk records, but I was just too young when it was released to be into it.

I jokingly implied that you will not that I hope that you do

How can you disagree? It's HIS top 10 not THE top 10, its all subjective.

Exactly. It's subjective. He says Death Magnetic is his second favourite album of all time, I'm saying it's a shit album - kind of the point of a forum.

And he's the one saying he hopes I'll "have a seizure" and getting all bent out of shape.

very hard to do but i'll give it ago, pulling from my different lists to put together 10 albums I think are the greatest of all time.

1. Around Midnight Chet Baker
2. Nebraska Bruce Springsteen
3. Graceland Paul Simon
4. Who's Next The Who
5. London Calling The Clash
6. Daydream Nation Sonic Youth
7. L.A Woman The Doors
8. New Adventures in Hi-Fi R.E.M
9. MTV Unplugged Nirvana
10.Abby Road The Beatles

Honourable mentions (what's the story) Morning Glory, Axis Bold as Love The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Psycho Candy The Jesus and Mary Chain Throwing Copper +LIVE+ America IV Johnny Cash Blood on the Tracks Bob Dylan kind of Blue Miles Davis.

There are too many genres and too many types of lists to do a difinitive top 10 and this list will vary even within the next a hour. However these are 10 of the albums i'll be giving to my kids to listen to, to begin their musical apprenticeship.
