No more work Fridays night, which free's me up for that match this week, and thats the only match I'm available for.
I'd be happy to contribute where possible to the Asian Cup, I like scouse's idea, with the marquee match.
Would need to see a schedule and time difference before committing to any matches however.
EDIT: Just checked the schedule, if I'm reading correctly, it's a 7 and a half hour time zone difference to Adelaide? Didn't realise it was that steep. Most, if not all game are 4:15pm or 7:15pm local time, not sure if I could handle the 2:45am matches, but the 11:45pm matches I could handle.

should be fine for the early sunday game and the defo the midweek game.
as for asia cup, well im more likely to wake up for the socceroos games, having said that, im sure everyone will want one, so cant be greedy, but i think teams im more familiar with like korea and japan and etc would be games i could do.

Iran vs. North Korea is probably a more marketable fixture, in that it's the whole 'axis-of-evil-off'

Think I'm good to do any games including Asian Cup next week. Just give me some notice.
I reckon we should at least do the 'marquee game' from each group. Which would be probably Qatar vs. China? in group A, Japan vs. Saudi in group B, and probably Iraq vs. Iran or Iran vs. North Korea in group D, along with all the matches in group C (our group). Just my opinion.

Ok guys, I'll post the schedule for this weekends matches tonight, so if you guys want to think about which matches you want now, we'll get all that organised.
Also, if we can officially decide which teams at the Asian Cup we want to follow, I can organise that too.

Picked up 44 viewers in the Gold Coast match.
Be wary the Wednesday matches in Wellington start at 5pm, and each time these matches have been on, the banner never gets put up until half time, so try contact a moderator before the match.

ok no worries funky.
also guys, i dunno about you, but ive been plugging the forums. ill put it in before commentary, maybe at half time and post game. sometimes if the game is dull, ill plug it during the match, just depends. not sure if you all want to do it. hopefully it will bring more traffic to the site and to our games.

Good idea.
I think we should follow SoKo as they are in our group, but I don't think we need to follow Japan v UAE or whoever the crap nations are in their group.

Hey guys, jsut before I go,
The Asian Cup starts in a week. I'll post a full fixture list when I get back (Mon/Tues), and we can start thinking about commentary for that. At the least, I'd suggest we cover the major nations: Australia, Japan, SoKo, etc. I'll try and jiggle it around so everyone gets a go covering a socceroos match.
Maybe this weekend, just start mentioning, at the end of your coverage, "Don't forget, if you want to follow all the action from the 2011 Asian Cup in Qatar, We will be providing coverage of Selected Matches" or something similar, just so people know.
Cheers lads.

No one for tomorrows game, but that's fine. I'll be gone from tomorrow until mid next week, so any problems, you'll be on your own:p.

Bugger, that would suggest not.
Best thing to do is when you start the coverage check the 442 home-page and see if the banner is up, if not, give KA or Ben Somerfield a PM, they gets the banner up pretty quickly.

I can do the Sunday games - possibly heading down for GCU/PG on Monday, so might be available for those too but probably not.
