no not really... doing the rounds of SFCU and TIA and this thread has turned up and thought it could be used in a sort of spin off combination of battle of the forumers, ask afro and the introduction. suggestions for questions to go into the base questions about the forumer? or any questions at all so i can get a generic template started... i'll get that done
whoever wants to go first from the final 16 or thewestisland PM me, i'll sort it all out, then i'll announce who will be writing the first edition of frontline, so people can then start asking there own question alike to ask afro about themselves, football, generally anything etc etc.

At what point did you realise you weren't going to make it as a professional footballer? Can you tell us a little about your amateur football career or any other sporting career?
I used to play Aussie Rules football for a couple of years but I suffered a pretty bad injury to my left ankle in late 2006 and I was forced to stop playing. I actually started playing Hockey in 2008 and represented Victoria at state level, but due to my ankle it restricted me to playing only one season. I've actually never played Football for a club, I only play Futsal.
Where are the burgers better?
Definitely McDonalds. Has to be a quarter pounder though, or BigMac.

SOLO. =p~
FM, FIFA or PES?
Have only played the first two, and due to the fact I can control the players I enjoy FIFA more.
Who do you go to the football with?
Used to always go with my grandpa and my dad, but now I go with my mates all the time.
Melbourne Victory
Favourite MV player?
Easy one; Ney Fabiano. Was an average footballer at best, but is a pretty good mate of mine. I also really liked Danny Allsopp, and Fred.
Currently?
Don't have one to be honest. But I guess one of the players I enjoy watching the most would have to be Carlos Hernandez.
Greatest MV game?
Woah this is a hard one. Would have to choose the 2nd leg Semi-Final in 2007 against Adelaide United. 50,000 erupted when Robinson scored that 93rd minute goal that sent us to the Grand Final. Allsopp's goal just after half time was one of the best solo goals I have ever seen as well.
Favourite MV memory?
Celebrations after the semi-final in 2007. Was just incredible.
Worst MV memory?
Both have happened this season. First one was losing the Grand Final to Sydney FC. Now that was hard, to lose the Grand Final in your own city to your biggest rivals. I was literally depressed for a month after that game.
Funniest MV memory?
6-0 drubbing of Adelaide United in the Grand Final. Didn't feel sorry for them at all. :P
Favourite MV goal?
Oooh this is a hard one too. Must say, in terms of quality it would have to be Carlos Hernandez's thunderbolt against Gold Coast last season. But in terms of which goal meant the most it must be Robinson's goal against Adelaide.
The Away Game?
First ever away game was against Newcastle Jets early this year. We lost 3-2, and we've lost every away game I've ever been to so far (unless you count last night). I don't bring the best of luck on away trips.
Active Support or the silent tactical analyst?
Haha the latter for sure, but i'm definitely not silent! I used to be an active supporter, but that was a while ago now. Right now I like to sit on level 3 or the media box and observe the game and everything that happens in it. I also like to shout at Ernie Merrick and tell him what to do.

Don't really have a 'favourite' chant, but I don't mind the chant; "Victory Road".

A-League and FFA
Post World Cup Bid thoughts?
Looking back on it now, I never realised why I thought Australia had a chance at getting it. It was always going to go to either Qatar or the U.S, and that's how it ended up being. I would never have been angry if the U.S got it over us, but the fact it went to Qatar really got to me. I am not going to go into it further, because I don't know what more to say.
What innovation would you bring to the A-League? (Video Tech, Marquee’s, Expansion etc.)
Fucking advertising the league would be a start! Maybe let people know games are on. I would also bring in foreign referee's to enhance the quality of the league. One more thing would be to increase the salary cap, BUT make playing rosters larger.
Melbourne Victory Issues
As a supporter what do you think is the number one issue for MV?
Etihad Stadium. For every single game I have been to at AAMI Park this season, it's shat over the Etihad games. It's a much funner stadium to travel too, it has an actual 'football feel' about it, the pitch is much better and closer and it's also the perfect size. The fact that we are locked into a contract at Etihad Stadium for five years is a pretty big issue, but I don't think we have much control over it.
“Merrick GTFO”?
I've never liked him. He is a really frustrating coach, but I guess all are in a way. Some of his tactics and selections piss me off, but he has won us two premierships and championships so I really shouldn't be complaining about him.
Victory 3-1 Heart, reflections on the Derby Revenge?
What. A. Game! One of the best A-League games I have ever been to, not in terms of football quality but more the result and incredible atmosphere. It feels so so good to beat the Heart, and to me it feels much better to beat them than Sydney and Adelaide. It's a fantastic rivarly that's bulding, and if marketed properly could attract 30k imo.
Melbourne in the ACL, the draw, your chances, and the culture cringe of Asian diving.
In all honesty, I don't like the ACL. It may be because we have done so badly in it, and never really done anything, or the fact that not many people turn up. I really enjoyed our first campaign in the ACL when we had over 20k for the games against Chunnham and Gamba, but since then i've never really cared much for it. But in saying that I still haven't missed a Victory ACL home game.

It was an amazing World Cup campaign. I still can not believe we made it to the sem-finals, and were so close to even reaching the finals. We did have an easy route though, and heaps of luck come our way.
All Uruguayans had an immense feeling of proudness in what the players had acheived. Everyone was so grateful with what they had done for the country, and that showed when hundreds of thousands of people went to the streets of Montevideo in -8 degrees to thank all the players.
I do believe though with the squad we have now, we are a real chance of winning the Copa America next year. I don't think though that we will reach the sem-finals in a World Cup again for quite a while, but hopefully we can go quite far in the Copa America.
Why is Luis Suarez:

He scored 50 goals last season in as many games, and many people think that's a great acheivment. I do think it is too, but it is the Eridivisie. He did score three goals at the World Cup which not many people can say they have done, but I don't think he is a world class striker just yet. People do seem to forget he is still very young, and if he keeps a cool head he could be one of the best strikers in the world.
As for being a ****, he is Uruguayan. 'Nuff said.

Melbourne Heart. I hate Sydney, I hate Adelaide, but it doesn't come near my hatred for Heart. I hate their fans, I hate their players... I just hate everything about them. There was never a need for a second Melbourne team. Heart and the FFA thought it would bring fans to the A-League who never supported Victory, but it's really just pinched a few thousand fans from our fanbase. Instead of having one club getting over 20k a match, we now have two clubs hardly getting 20k put together.

Aziz Behich. He is a diving scum and he cost us the 2010 Grand Final.

I have always been raised to support Uruguay, and I don't think that will be any different in this situation. Yes I am an Aussie, I was born here and I live here, but I don't feel a connection to the Socceroos. In saying this though, I wouldn't be dissapointed either way.

I was a total dickhead. But I guess I joined when I was 14, and kids that age are usually quite im-mature and it really showed on here. :lol:
I guess growing up changed me. I became more mature, and I really learnt a lot about life and it changed my entire outlook on it. I mean I still act like a total dickhead sometimes, but that's with mates and not on here. :P

I'm doing one at a time, so then you don't have an influx of seven members a day and then nothing the next day... might have a member one every day or second day, so you can have 3-4 members a week, the whole point of the thread is to cut through alot of the crap on AF and whatnot I can send out the template now, but when it's your turn i will give you a couple of questions about how your club is going, an upcoming game, recent result, the issues around the club etc etc. and then one or two about the FFA/A-League itself and then you'll get user question that have came in over a day or two, i think that's fair way to go... At what point did you realise you weren't going to make it as a professional footballer? Can you tell us a little about your amateur football career or any other sporting career?
Evidently I realised this sometime at a very young age, at a very subconcious level, because I've never played any form of Football other than indoor. Played a lot of cricket, was a RF bowler, who could swing a bat. Highest score of 85*, best bowling figures of 6/30. Got cut off by Back Problems before I could take it any further than local district level.

He's done about as well as you can expect. He's winning games, and his signings so far have been good. There's not much more you can ask of him. I'd have still liked the club to have looked for somone a bit higher up, there were some good names we could have canvassed, but there was nothing wrong with taking the safe option either. Whose done well this Season for Celtic and exceeded expectations?
Gary Hooper has been superb for us, as has Shaun Maloney. But the best in my mind, has been the Bearded Messi, Paddy McCourt. He's had to step up to fill Aiden McGeady's place, and he's doing a magnificent job. Running past 4 defenders and scoring incredible solo goals helps too:p
Thoughts on the various Scottish League proposals, such as the two tiered SPL currently under review, and Celtic joining a North Sea league or join the English League pyramid?
Anything that helps Scottish Football become bigger and better is fine by me. The Two-Tiered SPL has it's good points, but I don't think it's the way to go. Playing the same opponent 4 times in a season is killing the interest in the SPL, and so it's a bigger First Division that needs to be created. I think the SPL's best bet is to focus on something similar to the EPL, at least in terms of size. But then, wether there's the depth of talent in teams to make this an even competition, is extremely doubtful. Something has to be changed though, because Scottish Football is slowly dying a very painful death. I'm also all for the Old Firm joining the English Leagues, because I believe it is the only way forward for both clubs to continue to grow. Not only would it be better for the clubs, but for Scottish Football as a whole, as well. Quote:

I realised when I was the worst player on my year 12 football team that my injuries had come at the absolute worst time - so I quit. This was definitely the right thing to do. Up until year 9 I was a very decent footballer but then had back and knee injuries and a broken leg to top it off.

FM, FIFA or PES? FIFA or FM - used to be an ISS and PES man until they dropped the ball and I've been on FIFA ever since. FIFA 10 and 11 are near flawless football experiences.

Favourite Brisbane player? Probably Matt McKay or Hyuk-su Seo. Both just incredibly nice guys off the park as well.
Currently? Thomas Broich. Great guy, great ambassador, well-spoken, loves this country, loves Brisbane, loves the club, and I can speak to him in German. Big Smile!
Greatest Brisbane game? Roar 2 Sydney 0 in 07/08 - Reinaldo's goal was greetest with the loudest crowd explosion I have ever heard at the stadium. Including Origin or any other event heard there. Just incredible.
Favourite Brisbane memory? Demolishing Adelaide 4-0 after going a man down earlier this season. The whole crowd realising in unison that this season we were contenders.

What's the biggest issue for Brisbane Roar from your perspective if any? Maintaining this great run and continuing to recruit well with a view to another successful year then ACL the year after. No issues at all now Reinaldo's left.
What do you put down as the main reason for Brisbane's success so far this season? Ange Postecoglou and his football philosophy. It's so refreshing to have a clear philosophy throughout the team (and the youth team) and to have everyone able to step up into that system. It's minimised our injury and NT duty losses as well. It's nice to have the board backing him to the full too. Interested if he'll plump for some marquee signings or keep it low key.
Thoughts on Postocoglou and his clear out at the end of last season? At the time, I agreed with the players being cleared out. But by doing so when he did, he completely destroyed that whole season and it was a struggle to see positives past a terrible, terrible season and a squad full of dead wood. But we've seen that he can certainly recruit for needs and trusts the players he does get in - and how much of a great thing it was for the Roar and the A-League.
How big of a transformation is the football being played last year to this year with the Roar or has it just been a slow work in progress finally flourishing? It's been a work in progress ever since Miron was there - we've always played fluent attacking football, just not successfully - and had a serious blip last year when we weren't good enough to play any style at all. So from year-to-year there's been a big change - but over the Roar's history it's quite consistent.

Ben Buckley, unfairly critcised or out of his depth? Massively out of his depth. Seems like he can only do one thing at a time. Not what you want from the guy in charge.
How would you go about reformatting the Marquee system or does it need to be fixed at all? Make having at least one compulsory.
Would a new PR Marketing blitz on FTA fix the league's crowd problems next season or does the problem run much more deeper? There's lots of markets the FFA and the clubs individually have just destroyed - Townsville is disillusioned with the governing body, Brisbane's board seemed destined to sabotage them last season, Melbourne is a problem suddenly... doesn't seem logical. Marketing will undoubtedly help in all markets, though - I can't see why it doesn't happen.

Started out as a right back but too often got skinned by pacey wingers but in one of our trial games I got moved up forward because of my height and worked at linking up the play to the midfielders and my strike partner. Would often start up front in the first half and then drop back to a DM position sitting behind the more talented central mid’s and mopping up the scraps Mascherano style in the 2nd. Where are the burgers better? The Doncaster Hotel, yeah mega burger on Sunday arvo before Sydney vs Brisbane Tasty Beverage? Beer: Carlsberg or Bluetongue Lager Other: Lemon Cordial FM, FIFA or PES? FM, never owned a playstation so have never really played a proper season of FIFA and I’m abit of a tactical boffin. Who do you go to the football with? I go with my best mate, his mate from his club and English Johno who I meet down in Melbourne for the Grand Final. For National Team games I go with my three uncles, my dad and my aunty, and occasionally my sister (if Mark Milligan is playing so she can give him shit) You and Sydney FCFavourite SFC player? Karol Kisel, Stevie Corica and Simon Colosimo Currently? None of them because there all a bunch of fucking hacks, well besides Brosque and Bruno, but take them out of the team there fucked. Greatest SFC game? The Valentine’s Day game, just fucking awesome, incredible game and atmosphere. The tifo, the goals, the victory supporters, the cove, the beers, it was just all immense. I remember after the Kisel goal ending up 7 or 8 rows further down then where I was standing in the cove, just fucking nuts. The Aloisi goal is still burnt into my retinas’ and remember being held up by my mate and standing defiantly… Sydney 5-4 Central Coast gets a very notable mention, as does Sydney 2-2 Urawa. Favourite SFC memory? The whole Grand Final experience, the whole day for that matter. Waking up at quarter past five, getting on at Mascot and listening to ‘I wanna be Adored’ (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1g09GzbctlA), talking to the bloke on the plane about Leeds and Sydney. Drinking right across Melbourne with my best mate starting at 11 @ the G, the pre-game pub, meeting English Johno at Melbourne Central, the march from the Hostel. The Game itself and the atmosphere inside the ground, the unbelievable Counter-Attack where I stood stunned after Bridge scored only to be then crash tackled by my best mate, the nerves of the penalty shoot-out and the tears after the game. The best experience of my life Worst SFC memory? Same day as the Grand Final, it was the march from the Pre-Game pub to Etihad, and I think it’s fair to say that I had been drinking from 11 and had about 6 or 7 at the Watermark. I got far too into the Tard Hate fest and chanted some things that I’m really not proud of in hindsight at passing Melbourne fans, really saying them in real genuine hate. I got stopped by Hamamoto (I think?). Hamamoto Guy “Mate stop there, can you move to the side please and wait a minute” I did so as the guy talked into his walkie talkie, English Johno tried to talk and reason with the security guys and they in short pretty much told him to fuck off. My heart and stomach sunk as I thought of the very real possibility that I could be refused entry to the Grand Final, only 15 metres away from the gates. Hamamoto Guy “Right you’ve been spotted on the security cameras for offensive language and insighting violence, we’re going to let you in but this is a warning, any more shit inside and your out”. I got away with it and took out abit of my enthusiasm and brought me back down to Earth with a thud. Funniest SFC memory? Wellington @ Home the other week, singing Bohemian Rhapsody in the Cove 3-1 up with five minutes to go was just bizarre and hilarious. With our lowest crowd ever and me and my best mate doing mocking ironic chants, for the Cove to break into full voice of Queen it was just such a surreal experience, especially the guitar solo. Favourite SFC goal? This is really hard, because we aren’t known for brilliant net busting goals and sumptuous team goals involving 20 passes. But there’s two, that stand out after some thought. Santi’s goal against Adelaide @ Adelaide Oval from 25 yards out with ridiculous spin and dip on the turn, just audacious effort and a really big away win for us that one. The other is our first goal in Asia, the little dink chip by Carney with the great volley by Corica flying into the back of the net, the technique and execution was brilliant. The Away Game? I’m shamed to say that the Grand Final is my only away fixture if you don’t include pre-season friendlies against Bankstown City. Really wanted to get into going to away games this year but didn’t find great incentive to do so with the way the team has been playing. Active Support or the silent tactical analyst? I was the silent tactician for awhile but had always wanted to become more active, the start of last season we joined the Cove and it was brilliant. The position where I stand in the back row on the left just infront of the English troop full of Spurs fans is great, love the tifo’s and singing (although only when appropriate) and this season I've made my own banner which I’m rather proud of. Although I hate Sky Blue Youth, there just dicks most of the time and a bunch of posers UK or European Terrace Culture? UK for the humour and the off the cuff nature of it all, but I can admire the European culture for what it brings aesthetically and it’s emphasis on Tifo’s and order especially in big games. I’m going for one abit out of left field because I’m not counting Liverpool players in this, but James McFadden, just the Euro 08’ qualifying campaign he was awe inspiring in that and he scores quality goals. Bridge, Musalik are our main hate, but even McFlynn has been pretty average although his loyalty and passion is unquestionable. Midfield and Defence big time, we can’t get decent ball to our strikers who are alright, (nothing wrong with Bruno & Brosque) let alone keep the ball, and our defence has become abit of a laughing stock at times this year. People dump a lot of shit on Ryall cause he’s ex-tard but the guy will be one of the best defenders in 2 years time so stick with him. We need another experienced defender, or just a quality one to help the rest of the backline, we’ve been hurt so much by the hole left by Colosimo. I haven’t seen any NYL so I really can’t comment on Jurman, and Golec only got a contract because he’s related to Poppa, although he’s okay. Stick with Keller but I wouldn’t be against seeing Jurman after all the good things I've heard but I don’t think these guys are going to instantly turn round the season. People talk about bringing youth into the team but there ain’t much quality, Kofi hasn’t got a football brain and Grant is an average version of Musalik. Although I will say Antonis should have been the first XI from a lot earlier, his quality was evident when he played Blackburn. Who is your least favourite Sydney player and why? Tough one, at the moment It’d be a tie between the two Newcastle boys Musalik and Bridge, Musalik for wanting a bigger contract and playing like shit, and Bridge for his general lazyness off the ball. Although at the moment there isn’t too many likeable players, only Cole and Keller tried to come over to the cove when we won earlier in the season, while all the others fucked off. Yeah to an extent, well I know there trying and they’ve got good football people involved like Edwin Lugt. Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock for sure, never really liked the Guy Ritchie version to be honest and it annoyed me how you could still hear a hint of Downey Jr.’s American accent, although I do like Downey as an Actor. Cumberbatch was fucking ace as Sherlock, much more true to the original story, which I've always enjoyed. David Tenant aswell, like c’mon whoelse could ever be The Doctor ever again, if somebody says Doctor Who the first image is always David Tenant, he made the role his own (like all Doctor’s do). At what point did you realise you weren't going to make it as a professional footballer? Can you tell us a little about your amateur football career or any other sporting career?
I started out playing AFL football age 8, and the following season graduated on to playing rugby and association football. Just before my 11th birthday I broke my leg - two weeks before try-outs with a VPL team. That was the end of me playing competitive football.
Where are the burgers better? Hungry Jacks. Nothing better than a whopper at 6am after a night of drinking.

Just so many good memories. The other is the last game at Highbury. Just such a perfect end to a brilliant history, couldn’t have asked for a better end.

The problem is I was so adamant about Western Sydney before the new owners bought Sydney when the club didn't give a fuck about this side of the bridge and now I have grown to love the club more and more each game I attend culminating in the GF last season which was the best night of my life (I have never before watched a team of my win a trophy till last season when Sydney did the double and Newcastle won the CCC :oops: )

How long have you supported SFC and what made you decide to support the club?
Since the 1st match of Season 1. I watched it on TV and vowed to get down to as many games as I could to support my local club. Over time I have gotten more and more mates involved and they are as passionate as me about the club.
This week see's another tasty match between Sydney FC and our bitter rivals Melbourne Victory. Recent results have favoured us after a string of horrible results against the Tards. What does the fixture mean to you?
This fixture is the rivalry of the A-League. There is so much rivalry between Melbourne and Sydney that it transfers into Football and Cricket with sides distinctly from either side of the Murray. This fixture means bragging rights for one city, a whole lot of forumers and the club. To beat the Victory in the regular season feels like christmas, to beat the Victory in the Grand final is the ultimate.
If you were Lavicka, how would you approach the game?
We need to consider that Mark Bridge can be killed and should never be near the team, play Brosque up front with Cazarine and give youth a chance. As we have seen in this dismal season that people like Petratos and Jurman (albeit 1 match) have shown glimpses of their potential quality.
While Lavicka still has the vast majority of supporters behind him, where do you think it has gone so horribly wrong for us this season?
For the record I support Lavicka wholeheartedly. He has been a breath of fresh air for the club after some less that desired coaches. The main issue this season has to be our recruitment. We lost Kisel, Bolton, Aloisi, Colosimo, Payne, Ramsay who have performed outstandingly for the club or have gone onto other A-League clubs and prospered. We gained Reddy, who I believe on his day can be a good keeper and Jamieson, who if played at LB can potentially a good player. We also did not recruit another CB after the loss of Colosimo and we were stuck with Foxe, yes a former Socceroo player and stalwart, but way over the hill to perform consistently at a high standard in the A-League.
Will Kofi Danning make it in Europe?
No. He has been horrible this season, but hey, who hasn't? Still don't think he would make it though.
The lack of width is something which forumites have debated for what seems like years. This year in particular has seen the left come under heavy fire. What do you think the solution to our left hand side woe's are?
Jamieson is not a LM. He needs to play at LB, Byun at RB. Play Moriyasu on the Left hand side of midfield. Ultimately like to see a new Australian LM come to the club though.

I think blame can be aimed at the manager and the board. In the case of Harry Redknapp, of course he can be blamed.
Why Villa AND Portsmouth?
Portsmouth is my number 1 team. Have supported them ever since I was 8 when one of the kids that played in my team came to training in his Portsmouth jersey. Have followed their progress since then and since their promotion to the Premier League I was able to watch them week in week out. Aston Villa, they have always had the 2nd team feel for me, I first watched them with Bozza in goals and he was my favourite player when I was younger, back when the EPL highlights show was on SBS at 7:30 on a Monday Night.
If there was a Western Sydney team, would you change or stay with SYdney FC?
Definitely stay with Sydney FC. I come from Southern Sydney so I feel limited connection to the West, I would love to see them in the competition and I would watch their matches and go to an occasional live match.
What would be your ideal A-League in 10 years?
14 team competition. Current 11 plus Western Sydney, Tasmania and Canberra. In 10 years I also hope that a B-League is up and running, 16 teams split up into 2 conferences to minimise travel costs. In the B-League I would like to see 5 teams from NSW, 4 teams from Victoria, 2 from South Australia, 3 from QLD such as Cairns, Rockhampton etc, 1 from NT, 1 from WA

Then years later a Year 8 kid came up to me during school and asked me if I was the kid that smashed his head at the primary school's presentation day a few years back. IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE SCHOOL ON ASSEMBLY near the microphone so therefore everyone heard it. I was running the assembly as a Prefect. That was ultimate embarrassment.

I really would like to see someone else take charge of something. I dont mind, but would prefer someone else tried it out.
Really not hard. You select the list of who is going and then you upload it here. Give people 24 hours to ask questions, then that person must answer those questions in a post. After they done, go to the next person.

At what point did you realise you weren't going to make it as a professional footballer? Can you tell us a little about your amateur football career or any other sporting career?
I used to play Aussie Rules football for a couple of years but I suffered a pretty bad injury to my left ankle in late 2006 and I was forced to stop playing. I actually started playing Hockey in 2008 and represented Victoria at state level, but due to my ankle it restricted me to playing only one season. I've actually never played Football for a club, I only play Futsal.
Where are the burgers better?
Definitely McDonalds. Has to be a quarter pounder though, or BigMac.

Easy one; Ney Fabiano. Was an average footballer at best, but is a pretty good mate of mine. I also really liked Danny Allsopp, and Fred.

Don't have one to be honest. But I guess one of the players I enjoy watching the most would have to be Carlos Hernandez.
Greatest MV game?
Woah this is a hard one. Would have to choose the 2nd leg Semi-Final in 2007 against Adelaide United. 50,000 erupted when Robinson scored that 93rd minute goal that sent us to the Grand Final. Allsopp's goal just after half time was one of the best solo goals I have ever seen as well.
Favourite MV memory?
Celebrations after the semi-final in 2007. Was just incredible.
Worst MV memory?
Both have happened this season. First one was losing the Grand Final to Sydney FC. Now that was hard, to lose the Grand Final in your own city to your biggest rivals. I was literally depressed for a month after that game.
Funniest MV memory?
6-0 drubbing of Adelaide United in the Grand Final. Didn't feel sorry for them at all. :P

Oooh this is a hard one too. Must say, in terms of quality it would have to be Carlos Hernandez's thunderbolt against Gold Coast last season. But in terms of which goal meant the most it must be Robinson's goal against Adelaide.

First ever away game was against Newcastle Jets early this year. We lost 3-2, and we've lost every away game I've ever been to so far (unless you count last night). I don't bring the best of luck on away trips.

Haha the latter for sure, but i'm definitely not silent! I used to be an active supporter, but that was a while ago now. Right now I like to sit on level 3 or the media box and observe the game and everything that happens in it. I also like to shout at Ernie Merrick and tell him what to do.

Post World Cup Bid thoughts?
Looking back on it now, I never realised why I thought Australia had a chance at getting it. It was always going to go to either Qatar or the U.S, and that's how it ended up being. I would never have been angry if the U.S got it over us, but the fact it went to Qatar really got to me. I am not going to go into it further, because I don't know what more to say.
What innovation would you bring to the A-League? (Video Tech, Marquee’s, Expansion etc.)
Fucking advertising the league would be a start! Maybe let people know games are on. I would also bring in foreign referee's to enhance the quality of the league. One more thing would be to increase the salary cap, BUT make playing rosters larger.
Melbourne Victory Issues
As a supporter what do you think is the number one issue for MV?
Etihad Stadium. For every single game I have been to at AAMI Park this season, it's shat over the Etihad games. It's a much funner stadium to travel too, it has an actual 'football feel' about it, the pitch is much better and closer and it's also the perfect size. The fact that we are locked into a contract at Etihad Stadium for five years is a pretty big issue, but I don't think we have much control over it.
“Merrick GTFO”?
I've never liked him. He is a really frustrating coach, but I guess all are in a way. Some of his tactics and selections piss me off, but he has won us two premierships and championships so I really shouldn't be complaining about him.
Victory 3-1 Heart, reflections on the Derby Revenge?
What. A. Game! One of the best A-League games I have ever been to, not in terms of football quality but more the result and incredible atmosphere. It feels so so good to beat the Heart, and to me it feels much better to beat them than Sydney and Adelaide. It's a fantastic rivarly that's bulding, and if marketed properly could attract 30k imo.
Melbourne in the ACL, the draw, your chances, and the culture cringe of Asian diving.
In all honesty, I don't like the ACL. It may be because we have done so badly in it, and never really done anything, or the fact that not many people turn up. I really enjoyed our first campaign in the ACL when we had over 20k for the games against Chunnham and Gamba, but since then i've never really cared much for it. But in saying that I still haven't missed a Victory ACL home game.
User Questions:
Urugay had a good world cup and achieved higher than most predicted. What was the feeling with Uruguay fans and what is the hope going forward?
It was an amazing World Cup campaign. I still can not believe we made it to the sem-finals, and were so close to even reaching the finals. We did have an easy route though, and heaps of luck come our way.
All Uruguayans had an immense feeling of proudness in what the players had acheived. Everyone was so grateful with what they had done for the country, and that showed when hundreds of thousands of people went to the streets of Montevideo in -8 degrees to thank all the players.
I do believe though with the squad we have now, we are a real chance of winning the Copa America next year. I don't think though that we will reach the sem-finals in a World Cup again for quite a while, but hopefully we can go quite far in the Copa America.
Why is Luis Suarez:
a) So overrated
b) Such a ****
He scored 50 goals last season in as many games, and many people think that's a great acheivment. I do think it is too, but it is the Eridivisie. He did score three goals at the World Cup which not many people can say they have done, but I don't think he is a world class striker just yet. People do seem to forget he is still very young, and if he keeps a cool head he could be one of the best strikers in the world.
As for being a ****, he is Uruguayan. 'Nuff said.
Who is your most hated A-League team and why?
Melbourne Heart. I hate Sydney, I hate Adelaide, but it doesn't come near my hatred for Heart. I hate their fans, I hate their players... I just hate everything about them. There was never a need for a second Melbourne team. Heart and the FFA thought it would bring fans to the A-League who never supported Victory, but it's really just pinched a few thousand fans from our fanbase. Instead of having one club getting over 20k a match, we now have two clubs hardly getting 20k put together.

Aziz Behich. He is a diving scum and he cost us the 2010 Grand Final.

I have always been raised to support Uruguay, and I don't think that will be any different in this situation. Yes I am an Aussie, I was born here and I live here, but I don't feel a connection to the Socceroos. In saying this though, I wouldn't be dissapointed either way.

Not at all. If was born and lived in Sydney, i'm pretty sure I would be a Sydney fan too.

Great player. Not saying this because he's Uruguayan, but I think he's a great talent. Has been one of Sydney's best players over the past few seasons.

I guess growing up changed me. I became more mature, and I really learnt a lot about life and it changed my entire outlook on it. I mean I still act like a total dickhead sometimes, but that's with mates and not on here. :P
